woot, Vasek takes the title in Budapest with a 6-7 6-3 6-3 win over Nicola Kuhn. Keep an eye on Kuhn, he's a Spaniard, but plays a aggressive hard court style of game. Still to come today, Felix and Kuhn will go for the doubles title.

So Roger is playing Rotterdam basically just to take a crack at getting back to #1 before Nadal comes back. Would smash Agassi's record for oldest #1.

Felix and Nicola Kuhn just won the doubles title in Budapest. With Rebecca Marino also winning in Turkey earlier, it's been a banner day for the Canadians.

Has a challenging first round matchup but nonetheless, a huge break for him. Krajinovic is definitely beatable. If he can parlay this into a run on the challenger tour we may see a similar rise to Shapovalov's last year.

Canada to play Ukraine at home in Fed Cup World Group II playoff on April 21st and 22nd
The International Tennis Federation (ITF) announced Tuesday that Canada will face Ukraine in the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group II playoffs. The tie will be played in Canada on April 21 and 22, 2018. The location, the choice of surface, and the composition of both teams will be announced later.
“Our young team has worked hard this past year to get us back into World Group II, a place we hadn’t been since February 2016. Despite the loss to Romania this past weekend, our players were able to gain valuable Fed Cup experience,” said Sylvain Bruneau, captain of the Canadian Fed Cup team. “We will give it our all in this playoff tie to try to maintain our place among the world’s elite.”

how do you know Ruben Bemelmans won't pull off the upset? what if it turns out he's a late blooming generational talent? we might be calling him McBemelmans by this time tomorrow.

Stan is either still hurt or perhaps he's done. Horrible year so far for him.

Looks like Felix is giving Filip all he can handle in this 3rd set (not watching the match, just following the scoreboard).

Ah man. That's a shame. So close for Felix. He and Shapo will be wreaking havoc on the main ATP tour together real soon.
Full credit to Krajinovic though. He played very, very well (even if Felix blasted 30 more winners than Filip) and is a quality player who showed why he made the finals in Paris at the end of last year in this match.
Well played by both guys.

Super encouraging to see him take that to three sets. You know this kid, much like Shapo, has the mental make-up to battle adversity along with possessing all the physical tools.
