Come now... AA completely lucked into a large part of it. you're not going to convince me that he legitimately knew that journeyman outfielder Jose Bautista and the guy derisively nicknamed "E5" would transform themselves into the premier sluggers in MLB. He was a decent GM who created a luck-assisted (but not wholly luck-created) WS worthy roster.
I really do wish that he had pushed prospect capital in on someone other then Dickey (who never replicated his last year withe the Mets) and Price (who wasn't great in the playoffs) but that's life.

As for what the Jays should do next... Teo or Pham please. I'd have said Grichuk could work too but the angels just got him.
Ma. I can't believe how much slugging Varsho lost this year. I knew he wouldn't be much of an average guy bit I thought he'd hit the ball harder.

I expected some Rogers Centre/AL East bump. It’s been a bitter disappointment

I don't get the Hicks trade.
When everyone is healthy is he pitching in 8?

Have you seen how many games Yimi comes in and gives up a game winning HR in ! (We’ll there’s 2 I remember)
The Jays have a very good overall bullpen but they are a bit streaky. Having another power arm option is great so you don’t get backed into having to play a Mitch White or Yimi as we have in the last week and losing 2 games in extras / 9th inning
And who knows how Romanos back holds up . Can never have too many arms

I'd prefer a bat over an arm, I guess.
Bullpen has been ok lately, IMO.
Was really only the Dodgers game they couldn't get it done and I would hang that on the starters not going long enough. That forced the team to burn more arms than they needed to.

Cmon Jays. Have a week to remember. 5-2 would be just well.

In my view, Jays definitely need a bat, they don't have the offense to make it deep within the playoffs.

I don't normally throw 30 pitches, but when I do, it's the top of the first inning.

Back to back 0-2 counts and Bassitt couldn't put them away. Now it's a big inning for the Orioles. Their plate discipline is going to be a problem for the Jays pitchers.

Also that TD arm patch is hot garbage.
It's been said before, but bears repeating

Strikes out the first two. Gets the third to 0-2 and was at 15 pitches. And now here we are, down two runs, 34 pitches and this game is in the toilet early. Stupid game, tried to just pitch around the strike zone too much.

100%. The O's hitters are too patient to nibble. Have to attack and make themselves get out.

Am I missing something or is Kyle Gibson throwing 92 straight down the middle and the Jays are swinging right through it?

FFS. This is likely over. Bassitt vs the Orioles is not a good time.
