Lol I remember watching the final on DAZNs Twitter feed because they decided to broadcast the match for free. Pretty crazy that was 2 years ago certainly doesn't feel like it.

Felix and Shapo are in action later today in one of my favourite US cities that being San Diego. First up is Shapo taking on Taylor Fritz (approximately 2 pm Mountain) while Felix takes to the court tonight against Grigor Dimitrov.

with ever-increasing wealth disparity in the world, reaching billionaire status is always going to be viewed with mixed opinions. but if there's an athlete you might want to let have that kind of money, it's Roger. his foundation has already done a ton of good for places in Africa, and he'll be able to do even more now as he transitions out of competitive tennis.

Shapo is down a break to Fritz in the opening set, but Taylor has called the trainer.

Fritz seems to be okay and an opening set tie-break is required.

Oh man, Denis comes back from 6-3 down in the tie-break to win it 9-7. That was a very scrappy set of tennis from the Canadian (brilliance and sloppiness)

Hearing that Felix had to withdraw from the San Diego tourney with an adductor injury.

Well, that was just godawful from Denis - Youzhny should just walk away at this point.

Some good tennis on tap this weekend - The final in Sofia is set with Sinner taking on Monfils.
In San Diego, it's semi-final Saturday with Rublev facing Norrie and Ruud vs. Dimitrov. Action in San Diego gets going at 3 PM Mountain.

Jannik Sinner successfully defends his title in Sofia defeating Gael Monfils in straight sets 6-3 6-4. Later today it's Cam Norrie taking on Casper Ruud for the San Diego crown. Both of these guys are playing in their 5th final in 2021.

Wait until all of the major events are over for the season, launch an "investigation", publish your report 3 weeks before the Australian open when no one is paying attention saying "well we couldn't really find anything out for sure", and bob's your uncle!

Good start for Rebecca Marino as she wins her first IW qualifying match 6-1 6-2 over Francesca Di Lorenzo of the States.
