Bianca is playing at the WTA event in Chicago and her opening round opponent on Tuesday will be Shelby Rogers. Not an easy opening round match as Shelby beat Ash Barty at the US Open a couple of weeks ago.

Marcus Giron wins on the 10th match point against Jaume Munar in Sofia just now - We've seen plenty of match points saved over a course of a match, but 10 in one game is pretty rare.
/Vasek is in action in Sofia later this morning.

Tough loss for Vasek today (had a match point in the second set tie-break) but ultimately lost 5-7 7-6(8) 6-3 to Egor Gerasimov. That lost really hurts because he made the final in Sofia last year which is quite a hit to Vasek's ranking.

DAZN is showing the Chicago tournament right now, so I think that's a safe bet her match will be available on there. Not sure if TSN is going to pick up her matches, unless she makes the finals.

Novak has pulled out of Indian Wells, so if my math is correct (and that's a big IF) Medvedev would be new world #1 with a title there.

Bianca falls 6-4, 7-5 to Rogers. She looked okay but was clearly rusty.
She plays too much, and she gets hurt. She doesn't play enough, and she's not sharp. Odd crossroad.

it's crazy that 3 slam wins + 1 final isn't enough to be #1, but I guess that must mean Med has got all the rest of the season's points in 1000 and 500 events.

She's defending champion at Indian Wells so if she doesn't have a good showing her ranking is going to drop.

I did read earlier today that Leylah is planning to play Indian Wells and Emma will be getting a wild card (her ranking prior to the US Open wasn't high enough prior to the cutoff for IW).
