They should strip Marek down to an hour, and give Kyper & Bourne two hours and ask them to expand their focus from the Leafs to the rest of the league.

I mean, they're not going to list every possible guest they might have on.

of course not, but Wes, Aaron, and Ryan were all the usual rotating chairs.

Why is it dying in your opinion?

We joke about SN getting Steinberg to do everything, but I was listening to one of Steinberg's interviews and he mentioned that he works on sound for the radio broadcast during games lol. This guy literally is doing everything they can get him to do with the hours he has available.

I kind of want to know how much Steinberg makes all-in, but I'll probably just be depressed about how much they take advantage of him when I hear it..

I turned on the morning show yesterday on the way in.

Almost any sports show I can have on in the background and it won't be too distracting. It usually helps with work or to have on while relaxing, even if it's a sport I don't care much for. But holy cow, the segment I listened to was grating.

I've rarely feel prompted to switch the channel but it was aggressively bad and getting on my nerves, even at a low volume.

They sound like they're parodying the afternoon shows but are far worse. The number of "forever a flame" attached to a former grinder drove me nuts. When you abuse that joke that much, it's no longer funny.

Yeah I've given up on the morning show, and bring up the Steinberg Flames Talk segments on a podcast for my morning drive ins.

I wouldn't say Flames Talk is dying at all.

The morning show ... is brutal though.

I do like that the morning show has Ross Tucker on every week to talk NFL. He's pretty funny.

Having a NHL broadcast team not calling a game live on the road is so bush league. I could maybe understand it for the AHL, but this is the NHL, a multi-billion dollar business.

I'm actually surprised the NHL hasn't stepped in and made it mandatory that all broadcasters, both tv and on radio, attend the games. The increased in quality of games on both radio and tv will grow the game.

Can you imagine the NFL, NBA or MLB not sending their broadcast teams on the road?

To make money, you need to spend money.....clearly Rogers doesn't get that.

I’m pretty sure the Jays radio broadcasts are done from a boardroom too. Not sure about other MLB teams.

I will listen to the morning show during the season when there is heavy Flames content. On my drive home from Edmonton today I streamed the interview with Leslie and that was it.

Flames talk is the best Flames related podcast/radio show and I prefer it to Barnburner (which is also great). If I am not listening live at the end of the day I will listen in the morning. Barnburner has been hit and miss with how soon the POD loads up.
