I guess this is what he means by protecting free speech on his platform. He finally has the freedom to say whatever the #### he wants. Hopefully someday soon he gets the CEO treatment he has coming to him.

That's been obvious for awhile. There just aren't enough hours in the day to do all he claims, and level up.

If real.. Musk got kicked out of the furry community for being too incely and annoying. Picture in comments of him in a furry suit rolling a joint, and the guy who found the picture immediately getting banned from xitter.
Not to shame furries, I imagine they are a great community if they had the wherewithal to kick his creepy ass out .

Safe to say that Elon is the biggest liar/pusher of misinformation on the planet today? Is it even close?

He's top 5 for sure, but dunno if I'd put him first.
For me the runaway number 1 is Putin and the Russian machine. We know they have whole farms putting out misinformation. A large amount of it slants right as that's what they want in their own country, but some slants left too. Basically it's biggest purpose is to make us in the West angry at each other and de-stabilize our people and countries. In fact, most of what Musk and X pushes, originates from there.
Fox News and their old cronies are up there for me too. The problem with them is they have the reputation of a real news outlet when everything they push is for their bottom dollar. They figured out a long time ago that conservatives didn't like real news and science from the whole climate change problem and they just RAN WITH IT. It was no longer news, it became: tell us what we want to hear and what will scare us. I'll admit, all news stations do this a bit since the advent of the 24 hour news network. But they were the first to make misinformation, political pandering, and angry panel 'journalism' an art form. There was a reason a lot of us were calling them 'Faux News' 20 years ago!
Add to the fact you have ex-Fox hosts like Tucker Carlson who didn't have enough journalistic integrity to even stay on that station, but has now followed the money all the way to Russia still spouting blatant lies that our own Premier holds in high regard, and two or three even more alt right stations like NewsMax and AmericaOne born from Fox's business strategy, and they are easily up there in one of the worst misinformation spreaders.
(Weird to think all lot of our social ills stems from one savvy and unscrupulous Australian, but I guess someone was going to do it.)
The last I hesitate to put up because I don't think his organization does it with the same malice or greed or political ideology, but it's a big spreader of misinformation and conspiracy theories all the same... Is Joe Rogan. What was once fun 'don't trust the establishment', and 'keep your mind open to everything,' has become the biggest source of misinformation for millennials and gen Z. All under the guise of 'we're only asking questions'. It's pseudo intellectual garbage, that poses as real science and politics and philosophy. It's worse for facts than Wikipedia is, and yet is held up as a great place for intellectual debate. I guess my problem with his show is that for as big as it has become, he needs to be more responsible with it. It's the rebel that has become the establishment. Guess what, when you get paid 900 million by Spotify, you're no longer the rebel. You're no longer the free thinker. You're the establishment pushing the same old pro corporation, pro conservative think tank bullplop. You're being used, and the listeners are being used.
So yeah, there's 3 others I'd put up there with Musk. Musk is such a needy whiny creep with his misinformation though. It's definitely next level for some weird reasons.

I suspect Joe is knowingly or unknowingly being used as a tool by others far more powerful than himself.

Or he knows how to cater to the audience that butters his bread being one of the highest paid podcasters there is. He could be a nut that actually believes what he's selling or just a higher profile Finn McKenty. It's business for these social media people and they don't even necessarily need to care about or believe in what they talk about as long as it pays the bills.

Ya, I dunno. He's just too big a target, too gullible, and too much of a potential useful idiot to not have been taken advantage of by this point, knowing what we do now about all the control and manipulation behind the scenes of these RW celebs and media sources. Seems it would be a major oversight to have not done it.

How long will it be until countries start banning Twitter? We’ve seen the approach the US (and others) have taken with TikTok. I just see Musk cozying up and endorsing far right politicians, spreading wild misinformation and hate, and it’s got to be a matter of time?

Can we get a thread that tracks all the conspiracies:
Clinton’s and Epstein or is it republicans.
The diddy stuff? Who’s the bad guy I need to hate.
The new pedohile gangs or Pakistanis in England. Who do I hate for that?
PP is in bed with russia and china but I’m pretty sure Justin is in trouble for the same thing.
Biden is in some stuff with his kid. Hilary.
Trump is a felon for some reasons with a porn star. Just assumed if it was big deal it would matter and maybe it does.
God I hate the world. Seems I hate everyone on all sides and the the ones who are worse are the people who blabber about it.
I just need ot know who to hate and not have to finish Bards Tale II to be told.

See, that's what Zuckerberg realized, and why they are all in on this.
Quote:
Zuckerberg urges Trump to stop the EU from fining US tech companies
Comparing the bloc’s antitrust penalties to tariffs, the Meta boss argued that Brussels is “screwing with” American industry.
|
Quote:
"I think it's a strategic advantage for the United States that we have a lot of the strongest companies in the world, and I think it should be part of the U.S. strategy going forward to defend that," Zuckerberg said during an appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast.
|
https://www.politico.eu/article/zuck...ech-companies/
So the game here is future trade agreements, those with reduced or no tariffs will come with the condition that US tech companies can not be blocked, moderated or controlled by domestic governments. That's the choice they are going to give us. It's a win win for them, and a lose lose for us, and every other country that trades with the US.
So you can pretty much guarantee politicians like Danielle Smith, and the AfD in Germany, and whatever chud they are trying to install in the UK will all line up and bend over to get ####ed, and I can assure you, that one WILL trickle down.
