I mean, this team has fallen apart so far every time this season when the pressure gets amped up.

I don't have a lot of faith that they will ratchet things up when they are head to head vs Baltimore and Tampa, considering both of those teams are on fire, and both of those teams have handed the Jays asses to them this season so far.

Fingers crossed I guess.

Have any of you guys been to the Pirates ballpark? I always think it looks beautiful with the cityscape looming in the outfield. Would love to go see a game there.

Jays with a lot of hard contact so far. Not a lot to show for it but it looks promising. Nice to get out to the early lead too.

Kirk drives in Vladdy. Now THAT was good fundamental baseball.

Pretty sure Springer would have caught that.

Well crap. Stripling was cruising along and then 2 walks in 4th cost us

This game is definitely not going according to plan. The bats need to explode soon so that Strip can come out of the game in the 6th and we can go with a low leverage guy to wrap up the game. The bullpen game really taxed us.

Yes Buck, some of our bullpen arms didn’t get overly worked but we have four games in three days…we can’t use the high leverage guys every day.

2 RBI double by Van Meter drops perfectly in between Merrifield & Gurriel.

Think Lord could've had a play to make that catch if he hadn't been playing so very shallow in LF.

Yeah that 2 run double in the 4th was really unexpected. A lazy flyball with a XBA of .160 somehow finds a hole. Jays really needed a laugher today but it looks like they're going to be in a dog fight again.

Jeez. This Merrifield experiment is going to be entirely forgettable when all is said and done. Albeit he hit that ball hard. Just right at the 3rd baseman for an academic double play. Still cant get that big hit when needed.

Correction. I thought he hit that ball hard but the stats tell me otherwise.

Good god. This team continues to be just completely inept with guys in scoring position. It is so frustrating.

I'm starting to buy into KelVarnsen's narrative that Merrifield is quite useless.

Baseball Savant claims Whit only hit that GIDP ball at 80.6 MPH.

Sure appeared to be quite a bit harder than that.
