Like this Cassidy Hutchinson? She's pretty young and junior and she certainly seems to be speaking out now.

I find it fascinating to wonder what happened to some of these bit players in the Trump white house that left disgraced or turned against Trump. They aren't going to be very accepted by the left or the right.

Hutchinson interned for House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) before becoming a White House intern the summer before her senior year at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va. But the New Jersey native has not had a full-time job since leaving the White House.

After returning to college that fall, Hutchinson said being selected to work in the executive mansion brought tears to her eyes.

“As a first-generation college student, being selected to serve as an intern alongside some of the most intelligent and driven students from across the nation — many of whom attend top universities — was an honor and a tremendous growing experience,” she told her university in October 2018.

Yes - she is 25 and has her whole career ahead of here. There are others who are older and wealthy who could do something but opt to stay quiet for their own benefit while being willing to let their country's democracy potentially fall to achieve whatever tiny piece of acclaim they might get.

You can already see what will be said about this person. She's young and barely knew Trump and had no access, etc, etc.

People who support him, support him unconditionally. At this point, nothing will change their minds. We are talking about about a New York trust fund baby that somehow managed to convince working poor middle America that he was one of the people. They will literally believe anything they are told.

Any transgression he makes is automatically forgiven or justified by the underlying subconscious belief that they need a "superman" to dictate.

You know the country is broken (besides all the mass shootings and undoing Roe v Wade) when a guy that should be in jail is the frontrunner to win the GOP nomination and possibly be President again. Like, that shouldn't even be a remote possibility.

This is wild testimony today. Trump trying to grab hold of the wheel to force them to go to the capital and lunging at the driver's throat when he refused is going to be a great movie scene someday.

I'm actually kind of shocked he was even trying to get there. I figured it was totally his character to light the flame and then walk away so he could stay safe while others endangered themselves to serve his interests.

Hutchinson's testimony was powerful and people will come forward to confirm it, I can't see a world where Garland doesn't drop charges on him.

In my naive eyes always looking for hope…. I hope that this happening (
and subsequently being all laid out and associates getting charged) at least stays in peoples memories/reference for decades to come. It was unprecedented… it must have been hard to believe the president would press so hard about something so deeply serious for the nation. And even for the pieces of ####, you must have believed if he could do this, then everyone would be granted immunity. Which didn’t happen either, and wasn’t going to… lots of lessons to be learned for future followers and garbage humans.

Should there be restrictions on abortion? I don't know. It seems to be working OK in Europe with restrictions, but Europe has functioning democracies and the US is flawed. Hard to say what the right answer is, but I hope we can continue honest discussion about it.
