I'd honestly rather have brouwer right now. He could of plugged the 4th line RW and we could of had Dube playing on the third line.
Your whole opinion on the Neal situation is absolutely ridiculous, using Reddit rumours as evidence... that's as bad as the Orange Julius rumour, maybe worse. But the statement about Brouwer, I mean, it's absolute horse####.

Friedman's 31 thoughts column summarized for rumors and speculation:

https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/...ve-arena-deal/

one exec said that Holmgren's return to hockey ops is good for the trade rumor business

Schmaltz's agent denied that the reason the Hawks traded him was because of contract negotiations claiming that no numbers or term were ever talked about
Bowman refused to include Schmaltz in a potential Faulk to the Hawks trade in the offseason

Blues are open of business. Few things they won't consider

LA's patience on seeing how things faired after Desjardins and acquiring Hagelin has ended.

Friedman now believes Nylander and Leafs are only $300k apart. He said $500k apart on Saturday.

Toronto has told Nylander trade suitors that they will not take on salary that disrupts its future cap situation making a trade unlikely.
Also investigated 3 way trades but that also seems unlikely

WTH, Pearson for Hagelin? What am I missing here? Seems like a steal for Pitts.

Man, the Blues....

They add O'Reilly, Perron, Maroon and Bozak, all of whom are contributing, yet they are toiling away at the bottom of the standings.

Some guys have terrible luck, like O'Reilly and Duchene. Both guys keep going from tire fire to tire fire while they're old teams start to see success, and yet they aren't dead weight or anything. O'Reilly is on pace for 94 points and Duchene is on pace for 104 points, both guys leading their teams in scoring.

Luck is one side to the story, but I have read some interesting fan theories that it might just be on the players themselves that they are on bad teams. Whether it be attitude, chemistry issues, or changing the team culture for the worse.

Interesting theories and not sure I completely buy it, but at some point you got to say too much coincidence is going on here.

Sometimes it is just coincidence. People said the same thing about Hall until last year. If Mcdavid cant will the Oilers to the playoffs i dont think u can expect players like those to do that either.

But it's a given that everything Edmonton will always be no good. The only way to change that is to leave and not look back.

Actually I retyped incorrectly. The thing is it's not really a sentence, at all.

Hopefully some of our veteran posters are little more careful posting reddit rumours about off ice stuff in the future. The sources quite often turn out to be pretty shaky, we don't need that stuff here.

Picard is one of the few goalies in the league with worse numbers than Smith.
