I cannot believe there isn't an uprising in that country. At the same time, maybe I am just way off base in thinking that we have made any human progress in the last 100+ years. Depressing.
My newsfeed said there are anti-trump protests ongoing in california blocking freeways there. So it appears that that may be developing.

Holy crap. El Salvador is willing to take on American prisoners! I guess negative 25% tariffs for them?

The country will continue accepting Salvadoran deportees who illegally entered the US, he said. It will also “accept for deportation any illegal alien in the United States who is a criminal from any nationality, be they MS-13 or Tren de Aragua and house them in his jails,” he said – referring to two notorious transnational gangs with members from El Salvador and Venezuela.

In addition, Bukele “has offered to house in his jails dangerous American criminals in custody in our country, including those of US citizenship and legal residents,” Rubio said,

They cannot deport US citizens. That won't stand.

CONJECTURE; NO PROOF: They aren't going after shoplifters, DUIs, or jaywalkers though. I think this about murder, rape, and drugs.

I hate to break it to you, but there really is no 'radical left'; that is a misnomer. Most people are centrist, or immediately around that sphere. The right has skewed so far in their own extreme direction the last 10 years, that they use that term in response to their own insecurity of where they have dangerously placed themselves.

Yeah, I’m sure the strong culture of embodying the highest level of ethical decorum at Hockey Canada will guide them to this decision.

But on the other hand…..dolla dolla bills yo!!!!!

I would agree with this.

I don't know if insecurity is the most apt description of it necessarily but I'd call it projection of where they're at (more and more polarized).

Typical lefties of today (the alleged "radical" ones) still subscribe to same thing - facts and verifiable information from experts in their fields. This hasn't changed. Whereas righties insinuating such things have bit on crazier and crazier ideas, misinformation and conspiracy theories that formulate their now worldview.

Their whole wacky narrative of antifa being behind January 6th is probably the best example of this projection.

It’s an NHL event. Not hockey Canada/IIHF.

This is my annoyance too; imagine being so manipulated that you refuse to listen to PROVEN EXPERTS IN THEIR FIELDS because an inexperienced, unproven, limited-knowledge orange #### gibbon told you to ignore them, for no other reason than it 'owns the libs'. The 'left', as they like to call anyone who isn't extreme right, is generally the group associated with fact-checking, reason, logic, and scientific process; something the right is now very uncomfortable with.

The good thing about science and fact is that it doesn't care if you're MAGA, it's happening.

It’s an NHL event but it still involves the international hockey bodies. Hockey Canada manages the Canadian team.

Wrong!

We all know that being a decent human being is a radical leftist ideal.

If only jesus was here to show us how to live.

Jesus died on the cross in his fight to end DEI. If you look closely on his crown of thorns, there’s a small inscription that reads “Make Bethlehem Great Again”

I am all for whatever retribution we can extract from the US. But I really hate the idea of taking opportunities away from athletes. In this instance I realize it’s only NHL players so it’s no big loss for them. But if we continue following that path it hurts amateurs/olympic hopefuls etc. The 1980 Olympic boycott only hurt the athletes, didn’t hurt the Russians or the Canadian government.
