Yeah, that and the likelihood of them not at least keeping some sort of record of what guns they have seems low.
Just one of the few annoying points in the episode is how deus ex machina that kid being there was. You knew she was going to get caught even though there was no reason she should be.

I don't know if that kid showing up qualifies as a deus ex machina, since the kid being there didn't really solve any problems..
I did find their little chat a bit haunting even for Carol.
On another note, I wonder if the group is going to fracture somehow with certain members feeling quite happy and content in their new surroundings, and the others wanting to take it over. I am not really sure why Rick, Darryl, and Carol were even considering it. There doesn't seem to be a need for conflict. Even if the community was weak, that doesn't seem to be a reason to want to take it over.

Shades of Shane, was it not?
First thing I thought of when I saw that was in S01, shortly after Rick meets the group for the first time, he and Shane are out in the woods and Shane has his shotgun pointed right a Rick.

Actually seems pretty low to me. Isn't that just the gun storage area? Didn't look like they were logging any weapons when they brought that tray out for Rick and co. to store their guns. Even if that is a separate supply, did you see the bin where Carol was grabbing the pistols? It was basically a laundry basket. The town folk seemed pretty loosey goosey about most things. The gun stockpile seems no different.
Man Carol was so creepy when she was talking to that boy. I felt pretty tense during that scene lol.
Also, what was with that moment Rick had with the zombie on the other side of the wall at the end there? Was that because he was starting to miss the outside world a little bit?

I assumed when they took the guns, they wouldn't log them right there. They'd take them to the storage area and whoever was there would log them. That would make sense. I'm not saying they don't keep track, but it seems to me that if you go to the trouble to keep a record of how much chocolate is being used, the effort to keep track of guns and ammunition would be a no-brainer.

Anyone think Daryl will find the "wolves" or the group that puts the "W's" on the walkers heads near the end of the season? Could be the cliffhanger?

It depends. Keep in mind most Alexandrians have not been outside the walls, so they may not see much value in the weapons. However a non-renewable treat like chocolate might be something they are all concerned about.

Personally I think it was him contemplating for once how safe he felt with a walker right on the other side of him and not able to get to him.

I think it was symbolic of him accepting his new situation, by saying goodbye and paying homage to his old life of being outside the walls. A surrendering to becoming a "civilized" human again (that they all seem to be grappling with).

I took the final few moments of the episode to merely symbolize the drastic contrast between the two worlds, pulling in a character that seems to be a consistent keystone between both.
I'm tentative, but the trajectory the show has taken in the past handful of episodes has been very encouraging. That was a "slower" episode, but worked in all the right ways.

Does having possession of the guns make them a better society? Or are our intrepid group of heroes better because they have an unsustainable shooting percentage?

Maybe that's the point though? The ones inside the walls don't fully realize the dangers outside the walls (that being the people, not the zombies). They care more about rationing chocolate than keeping track of their guns. Or maybe I'm just making this stuff up. I dunno lol.

People saying the W on the walker's forehead shown upside down means M for Morgan. And there was "Morgan Dr" on a sign behind Rick late in the episode. So I'm thinking Morgan shows up next episode.
Also wondered what happened to Gabriel...he kind of vanished since they arrived. He's still pretty sketchy and there's something dark about him. Looks like we'll get a glimpse of that next week.

Nope I took away the same as you.
They are clearly aware of how much chocolate they have and track it.
The weapons storage doesn't seem to secure, or controlled. No siging in or out, not tracking to weapons taken......
Chocolate >>>>>>>>> Weapons

I am not thinking so. There's been too many references to Wolves.
When they go to Noah's home community there is that "warning" spray painted on the wall of the square...can't remember exactly what it say, but something like "The Wolves are near". Then there's those lower torsos outside the community wall. With the wall smashed inward like someone drove a truck through it.
Then Rick hits the back of the pickup and a bunch of upper torsos fall out with the "W" on their forehead.
At Alexandria, Carl picks up the comic with Wolf Fight on the back cover.
Could be smoke and mirrors but I am betting there's a group out there calling themselves the Wolves and there's a fight coming.
Maybe Alexandria picked Rick and his group to protect them, maybe they don't even know about the Wolves.
I am guessing they don't, because they would at least lock the gate if they did...

OK I didn't read the comics and I don't know what the Wolves are so if everyone could STFU about Wolves that would be lovely
I each of Carol, Rick & Darryl miss the 'outside', hence Rick dry cuddling the wall with a walker, and Darryl's reluctance to clean up and accept a job. They both came around eventually though. Carol on the other hand integrated immediately (obviously as a decoy) to gain the resident's trust. Darryl and Rick believe she just wants to infiltrate them to gain intel.
I think Carol misses the outside so much that she is going to try and sabotage the stability of the community altogether. I don't think she's stupid stealing the chocolate. In fact I think she led that kid on and meant to get caught so she can unleash her rogue plan of sabotaging the stability of the town.
Rick et al will face the tough decision of banishing her again.
PS: Best thing on TV since the old HNIC's.

Why? It's got nothing to do with comics...it's right there in the show. I could just as easily ask you to stop talking about chocolate.
