I could see the mock drafts changing, since people are hearing different rumours for each team.
But it is a little weird seeing the rankings changing so much. Yes, it's likely to increase content for clicks and views. It's still fun, so I don't really mind it. It does make it a little less meaningful though.
I wonder if all of the top 8 picks will be forwards. Brown and Nylander seem to definitely be up there.

According to this value chart, It would take #6, #35, and #55.

I'm not into predicting things but as of now I think Monahan is a #1 centre who clicks with Gaudreau, so why split them up. Bennett could be a #1 too so than we'd have two #1s.

I agree with Vulcan here, Langkow could not do the things that Monahan can do and at a young age, this argument that Monahan racked up points because he played with Johnny is just stupid, this is what happens when two good players play together, Wayne Gretzky played on the same line as Jari Kurri and Mark Messier, does that mean Wayne Gretzky racked up a lot of points because he played with two great players? No, it does not mean that, it means Wayne Gretzky played with some very good palyers and he was excellent player himself.

Value charts are great but they don't take into account talent drop offs in drafts.

They're great for rough valuation, but like you said, the players don't have evenly decreasing values. For example, last year's FOA had way more value than the year Yakupov was taken

He's got Keller listed at 5'9.5" tall. I saw that and thought: "that's small!" Then I looked up his Combine listing of 5'10" and thought: "that not so small after all!" I wonder if I'm alone . Perhaps if we take him we could put him on the rack and stretch him.

We make that trade every day of the week, and twice on Sundays. Ergo, the value is way off.

In his final ranking in 2012, Craig had Mark Jankowski rated 14th.
Craig's list mirrors Tod's the closer we get to the draft.
Keller. It's happening.

Craig's list is usually a good indicator (as good as we can get) of what our scouts are thinking. Last year he had Rasmus at 30, higher than any publication I remember seeing. Rasmus was our first pick. He had Mangiapane going as a second rounder. The year before he had Adam Ollass Mattsson on his list (higher than Virtanen)
Needless to say I love when these lists come out

If we go for a small centre I'd rather take Jost at 5'11 and 189.5 lbs compared to Keller's 164 lbs.

Then it doesn't get done, and that's probably the reason why trading up, especially early in round 1 doesn't happen very often....because teams will only trade their pick for a ridiculous overpayment that no other GMs are willing to pay.
In the last 10-15 years, no GM has ever given up a proven NHL player to move up a few spots in a draft. That's lunacy.
Once in a while these trades do happen though. They happen because team A is willing to move down a few spots because they still like the player they will get at that lower spot, but then also pick up another asset in the process.
When these trades DO occur, the cost is another late 1st, or a couple 2nd round picks, or a 2nd and a 3rd, etc. That's it. Not an NHL player like Backlund.

I would be fine with that if the pick is Keller as he's greatly skilled and is likely being undervalued due to his size. I can live with Nylander, Jost, or Keller as they have elite skills. Brown worries me as I don't know if he's a constant motor guy with the passion to be great that a top player needs to have. The defensemen are just okay but I just don't see the need or room in the organization for using this pick on one.

What if the price is 6,35, Frolik? That gets interesting. And I do it all day long as much as I really like what frolik does out there.
