Once you have the materials it looked like a weekend job for anyone with skills
You even see him finishing the painting at nighttime
Maybe 20-30 hrs of work ?

He might be a remote worker too. It's amazing how little some of them get accomplished (at "work" anyway).

Celebrated Square Root Day
God crowd work is such a lazy comedy act that's become way too popular. So stupid, that skit included.

Crowd work is definitely overdone these days but the point of the bit, not a skit, was to do an English accent well enough to fool an actual Brit, which I think he pulls off quite well. So, not really funny, but cool.

It's not actually reflective of the comedians as such, it's just that currently working comedians don't want to post their current material online, but they also need/want to hold an online presence, and so crowd work gives them a steady stream of something to post. And that's why most new standup clips online are just the crowd work bits.
(But also: this makes crowd work skills important for success, and creates an audience expectation that there's going to be crowd work, so yeah, crowd work has become a big part of modern standup.)
Josh Johnson, who I find quite funny, has solved essentially the same dilemma by developing his own style of standup closer to "topical storytelling" that allows him to put out new material every week. I think that style will catch on, it works well for him at least.
