Andrew Lincoln's real name is actually Andrew Clutterbuck. Why change it to Lincoln is beyond me.
Clutterbuck is one of the top 5 names in the NHL of all time.

Probably the most meaningful and well placed/executed moment in the show's history, or at least it's way up there. It was actually a quality episode.
There's still something off about the new community. What was with the photos without any habitants in them? If it's legit though, then I reckon it gets attacked or something. There has to be some sort of threat, hopefully one that we haven't seen already over and over.

That ending was awesome. Really enjoyed that episode, New characters, mystery, conflict. They are setting up for some good episodes.

Yeah that was a better one than in some weeks. I like the new element that the threat to the group is surrounding themselves with a bunch of clueless softies.

Even more, I like that they are in a way the threat to the community, instead of it being the other way around up until now.
I could see things going awry with Darryl or someone in the group killing someone out of protection or just bad blood (probably the gatherers leader) then the residents realize how much of the threat they are and try to banish them ..and as Rick says, if it came to it, they would take the place for themselves. Maybe we see Rick embrace his inner Governor.
Oh, and that "Wolf Fight" book cover was sure subtle there..

What's the deal with Eden?
The way she snuck out Andrea style makes me think she's a spy for another group.

When Rick was being interviewed, the dirty hand print he left on the otherwise pristine window frame was driving me insane.

Are they really? IMO there's more to this woman and this group than has been let out of the bag. Good episode as it's interesting seeing the group try to integrate themselves back into a society.

That was my thinking as well as she seems miserable and distant like she's not happy with what she's doing. Kind of surprised the group would take someone in and let them come and go as they please.

Yep agreed, I think she's the one who stole the gun that was in the blender.

I do hope this is the shift in the show. The juxtaposition between the two groups is something we haven't seen yet and might be what the show needs. No more hardened group verse equally hardened group.
All of the main group are so pouty, mean looking, nasty. Bring them in with people who have been sheltered from the horrors (mostly) and it's an interesting dynamic. Seeing people make actual jokes instead of the constant aloofness of the main group is good.
Carol continues to annoy me, she's the worst character. They want to portray her as some crazy bad ass and I don't buy it for a second. Her little moment of acting nice and sweet when handing in her guns.. just awful, didn't buy it at all.

Did anyone see Father Gabriel in the episode last night? I don't recall seeing him.
If he's not in the town, is he about to betray them I wonder?

He was there when they went in and were turning in their weapons. I had actually paused it for a moment to mention to my wife that he was on Starship Troopers. (Which was on TV on Saturday night.)

So, she was saying she thinks about her abusive husband every day, but didn't mention her daughter?

My favourite part of the episode was Rick's face at the end when saying they would take the place.
I enjoyed the episode, but the set up, at least what we could see if the property was crazy. Trees up close to the walls, not towers along the walls........

What's been bugging me is the way this compound has been built.
Why are the braces for the walls on the outside of the compound and not inside? This places strikes me as much easier to get into than out of.
The guy in the barn last episode (forget his name already) said that no one gets in our out without them knowing about it. Well, clearly that's not the case with people getting out at least and it sure wouldn't take much for a hostile group to walk up the braces and jump in.
Odd odd odd.

that entire interview was a lie. she was playing sweet helpless housewife and asked specifically for a job that would let her interact with a lot of community members. between that and the new grandma wardrobe, it's looking like an attempt to infiltrate Alexandria's inner circles and get more info.

I agree with you and I thought that was pretty obvious. How many times does Carol need to prove she is a badass before people realize it?
Rick, Carol, Darryl et al never let their guards down. Ever.
Rick's last line proves that. In fact, I hope our gang does a hostile takeover. These drab boring softies are already annoying me. TO WAR!!!!

Hell yeah, and if I were Rick I know who I'd be taking as a sex slave right after killing her husband.
