Never.

Went for a mall date with the SO and we couldn't believe how difficult and slow it was to get to chinook on a Saturday morning. And we took two totally different routes there.

Guess I'm supposed to avoid south-central Calgary indefinitely because I don't expect them to finish their #### with any haste.

A lot of the time now I drive Glenmore intending to go N on Crowchild only to be told (with no prior warning) that it’s closed. So you have to go to Elbow and reverse course back to take the exit.

22x is a joke. Everyone just trying to jump the traffic by short cutting through communities and off/on ramps. It’s a disaster.

We often take that route a dozen or so times a week and have friends that live in Lakeview... There's a sign at 37th that has displayed a message about the bridge being closed consistently for the past 2 months... that fooled everyone the first few times, until you realize that the bridge is not in fact closed, so it became something you just ignore... Until they actually close the bridge

You must be taking the scenic route. I can get from Old Banff Coach Road to DT in approximately 20 minutes.

I’m coming highway 8 to Glenmore to Crowchild, if I drive.

My daughter goes to school in lakeview. It's open on the weekdays so it's fine.

I went to the Grey Eagle Casino on the weekends a few times and that stupid thing is closed and you have to go Glenmore East.

You can turn into Lakeview from EB Glenmore usually. But they often close the left turn on the ramp onto NB Crowchild. Fine, but tell me before 37th st so I can turn there.

File 311 reports about this stuff. It's the only way the city groups will take the issue more seriously. Detours and detour signs are the responsibility of the city. Obviously the contractors have to tell the city when they're doing stuff, but the contractor has no control over what signs are out there or what they say.

Crowchild at Glenmore looks basically done. I bet it fully re-opens in a couple weeks.

Okay, now I get it. I’d quit my job if I was forced to take Glenmore/Crowchild every day.

But then he couldn’t tell everyone about how much time he was saving taking the train.

Well, I don't anymore. I drive to 69th st station and take the train. Had to break up a fight this morning but normally the ride is decent.

The main reason why we didn't purchase a house in Lakeview is because of the ####ty access in and out of the community. We looked at a bunch of nice houses but in the end I was really concerned about that Crowchild/Glenmore access point.

Thursday was my first commute home (NB) on Sarcee since the opening under normal traffic volumes. Monday was a light day for traffic, Tuesday and Wednesday were late work days so missed the evening rush. Based on a single day of observation it looks like way more people are electing to take Bow Trail over to Stoney and then head north. NB Sarcee>WN Bow Trail left hand turn lanes were plugged solid and backed up all the way to their end. Normally there's only a few cars turning left. I stayed on Sarcee (my usual route). WB TCH>NB Stoney was still backed up to COP with the four lane merge into a single lane making it's presence felt.

Maybe just wishful thinking on my part but it looked like a lot less construction equipment on the Stoney NB bridge and they had paving equipment staging at the north end. Hopefully that is a sign the remedial work they were doing is nearing an end and the bridge can reopen so that disaster of a merge will go away.

There was a single lane open on the NB bridge during rush hour for folks merging off 16th, the NB Stoney lane was re-routed to give room to the equipment working on the rest of the paving
