To its credit, the Cybertruck sent police an automatic alert that it had crashed at 3:08 am Wednesday morning, according to KCRA, though police received another 911 call from a person at the same time. Police arrived on the scene at Hampton Road and King Avenue and found the Tesla consumed in flames between the cement wall and a sidewalk.
Another vehicle was following the Cybertruck, and its driver was able to rescue the sole surviving passenger of the blazing Tesla.
Why are we giving credit to the Cybertruck?

Because if you dont give them credit, you get this
Dave Bowman: Open the pod bay doors please, HAL. Open the pod bay doors please, HAL. Hello, HAL. Do you read me? Hello, HAL. Do you read me? Do you read me HAL? Do you read me HAL? Hello, HAL, do you read me? Hello, HAL, do your read me? Do you read me, HAL?
HAL: Affirmative, Dave. I read you.
Dave Bowman: Open the pod bay doors, HAL.
HAL: I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

I finally saw one of these monstrosities in person not too long ago and they look all the bit of ridiculous that you would expect and have been told.
I really don’t think they look that bad. Like if somebody tried to Mad Max up their Delorean. Maybe I am just bored of the same old body styles you see on the road and any kind of diversion from the same tired old vehicle stylings is a nice change of scenery.
I mean, it doesn’t change that they’re poorly made, and don’t function well, but when all you get from car manufacturers is a slight change to a curve around the bumper or 1mm flare of the fender or something lame like that, it’s at least interesting.

There's one here in Toronto that (I think) is matte black and says BIG BEEF on the side of it. Saw it struggling to pull out of a driveway. Those things seem really long and awkward to shoulder-check.
The one I saw in late summer at a charging station was parked next to a Rivian SUV. They are on completely different ends of the 'ugly and embarassing' vs 'looks good, performs well' scale.

I saw a totally blacked-out one in NY, and I thought it looked awesome.
