Lol I don't know either. Probably not, other than the disdain Penny Arcade must feel towards the people complaining about the ending. I'm just scared to go to Penny Arcade to read the post about the comic.

That PA comic completely misses the point. I'm not asking for a rainbow unicorn happy ending, but I do want a finale that is thematically appropriate and logically consistent with the rest of the series. The ME3 ending is neither.
Again, a well-crafted bittersweet ending would have been fine by me.

if the ending at least tried to take into consideration all the big decisions you've made in the series, i could have lived with that. but Bioware didn't even make the attempt, and basically flat out lied when they advertised how important your past decisions would be for this game

Just finished...
Booooooourns to the ending. The rest of the game was excellent though.

You think they'll add a DLC piece that gives a proper ending? Would be an extremely low blow to the gaming community, "if you want a proper ending, pay $10 for this DLC".
Wouldn't surprise me.

No matter what happens, I think most people will probably be a little unhappy with any ending...not because of it's quality, but because it's sad to see the end of such an amazing series.
At least that's how I feel.
I still would like to see a little more effort into a more satisfying ending though.

Just finished the game, like the rest I'm torn about the ending. I don't know what to think, at one hand I'm not mad they went the "sad" route, but you get such little closure of what actually happened. Could have used another 10 minutes of cut scene material, especially if your going to make such a big decision right at the end.
What sucks even more is the last 2-3 hours of gameplay is tremendously good, then it just goes downhill.
This basically sums up the ending.

This article really summarizes everything that's wrong with the ME3 ending.
It's a good read and well written.

Already linked on the last page: http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showpos...&postcount=466
But yeah, that article perfectly describes why I hated the ending so much. I don't care that they didn't give us a sunshine and lollypops happy ending, but what we got fails in so many different ways.

No kidding, I didn't need the happy ending that Hollywood gives, I just wanted closure. Not only did Bioware not do that, but they ruined their own mythos.

It took me about 40 hours, but I was obsessive about completing every side quest and gathering 100% in every system.

Depends on if you go into multiplayer to get your galactic readiness up. Without it, it takes about 24 hours to the end (doing most of the side quests). With multiplayer about 30 hours depending on if you actually win any.

Bronze and Silver are both quite easy, then the jump to Gold is just brutal. Can't make it past wave 4 on Gold before everyone dying.
My lvl 20 Vangaurd cleans up everything except the Banshee, she whoops my ass.

I won three matches on Gold today (all against Reapers), but MY GOD was that brutal. Wave 3 on Gold is like wave 10 on Silver, and it only gets worse from there.

it'll be awhile before i try tackling gold, i need to get some better weapons first. i've opened up half a dozen or so spectre kits and countless veteran ones, but the only guns i got were the claymore, matock, and the grenade launcher rifle (sounds far better than it is). i'm still on the stock SMG and pistol, at this rate it'll be months before i get armed up enough to be useful in gold. it's like SWTOR PVP all over again

I wish rather than just buying packs I could buy specific things. I have unlocked about 6 different shotguns (1 rare one) and I never use them. I want pistols and assault rifles and have never got even 1. Also, I have about 40 thermal clips that I never use and hardly ever get medi-gel. I never get the characters I want either, I have 5 left to unlock and 4 of them I want to play as, but every time I unlock someone new its someone useless like the Turian Sentinal or something.
I can't believe how many people I've seen that have lvl X (10) weapons or VIII or IX, its insane, I don't even have a lvl II yet.
