so, about the banner raising ceremony; will that happen before every game we play next month or just the first one?
i definitely want to see it since i was the only one that was lucky enough to play all 4 playoff games.

As far as I'm aware. It's suppose to be for all home games of the season. So teams know they're playing a playoff champ.

So multiple teams will be playoff champions in any given division? That's kind of disappointing IMO. Round robin would be fine to start with, but it should really just set up the seeding and eliminate the crappy teams, then you could move onto an elimination bracket type deal with one team left standing. That would be cool, this current system is just kind of lame.

For example, so far I've played on three playoff winning teams... lol

And the elimination bracket idea is cool in theory, but gets very complicated when you mix in Euro teams, and 2/3 man teams.
I would want a North American 6v6 playoff bracket (the game is meant to be played with 6) like the end of year playoffs. But logistically this is still challenging, and with teams wanting their best 6 playing, it's hard getting 12 players on at the same time.
BUT, that would be the most fun IMO.

Great job guys! I am happy to have been a part of the first 2 play-off wins.
BTW, how are you on 3 playoff winning teams?

My main account (ChuckieNZ) is on Oooon.
I have a second account (BeefChuck) that I use for playing with friends - so I move it between clubs depending on who's on. I can't stand OTP, so this is my way of avoiding it. I'd already won some playoff games on this account with some friends the other day, and then played with CP last night.
Yea I know, I play too much.

Just had a game against Gun N Run. If you want an example of why a human goalie is better then CPU goalie, that game was it. The other team had players that knew what they were doing. They weren't even doing all these crazy type of plays. Simple puck movement and open shooting lanes led to the CPU getting lit up. If that was a human goaltender in net, they've would've had better positioning and been able to make some of the saves the CPU didn't.
We really need to find some people that will be down to being a primary goaltender for the team. I'm getting some practice in so I can be one once in a while, but it would be good to have one or two that will mainly pick that position.

Sorry about game 2 in net tonight guys.
I figured I would get in one more game before bed and apparently that was a mistake.
Yay game 1 though!

You did good! I think we were all a bit "out of it" that last game.

I am also putting in some minutes in net to hopefully be competent enough to play in goal

Since our team has won the playoffs, I have yet to see the supposed "Banner Raising" at the start of every home game. Now, I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I'm saying that it is a little disappointing not being able to see it or show it off to our opponents since the game intros are always immediately skipped if someone presses the X button. I wish EA would make a very short clip (5 seconds even) that is mandatory to watch at the start of every game.

In the HUT playoffs, they say the champions get a logo on their home ice for the following month. I wish it was the same for eashl.

if we are going to use real goalies then people have to practice somewhere other than club games IMO. i play to have fun, and its not fun when we get scored on every shot. i am all about having a real goalie, but there has to be some skill there. and i know i have let in my fair share of softies (5 in 1 period against 7bk comes to mind!); so its not an attack on anyone specifically. but we need to use either OTP or practice mode to get used to being goalie against humans.
