Yup how dare the writers keep Jack and Kate around...the two biggest characters on the show.
This hasn't been my favourite season but I have a ton of respect for Darlton. They've been so interactive with the fans during the entire series and continue to answers questions that have been asked 1000x of times. If anyone caught the interview with time magazine this week, it was one of the best they've ever done. They've always had the ending and final scenes decided but it made sense how somethings on the show just need to happen organically. In this day and age, with a tv series, it's impossible to do what some people are complaining about. You don't know if your shows gonna make it to air, be-renewed, be this big of a hit and so fourth.
Michael Emerson only being brought on for a small number of episodes, then doing such a great job as Ben, you just had to keep him around. Having big plans for Mr. Eko then having the actor want to be done with the show. Dominic Monaghan saying write me a bigger role, or write me off the show. The actor who plays Jacks dad saying he's done with the show. The business and the logistics of it all, makes it impossible to do it in a way a lot of people are saying they should've.

You need to be put out of your misery.
The "magical light" is the negatively-charged exotic matter we already know about. So the crazy Roman woman described it in a magical way . . . Would a scientific spiel from her have been more realistic, given the time and who she was? Besides, "negatively charged exotic-matter" is no less fantastical, it's just given a scientific candy coating.
Lost is awesome. You can be negative and cry about it all you want -- myself, I'm going to love every minute of the finale.

I'll assume your talking about the Time interview. it was actually streamed in hundreds of theatres across America and Canada this week. I can't find the full interview yet but here's a good chunk of it.

Bill Simmons also had one of the producers on for a one-hour talk via his BS Report podcast this week - it was great.

Simmons interview with Carlton Cuse was awesome. I can relate much more to the kind've Lost fan that Simmons is, instead of the real heavy fans questions to him.
Question for any lost fan here.
When did you start watching the show? has it been from the start? i actually went through the 5 seasons this summer and this has been the first in real time.

Right from the start for me, and I knew right from the beginning that this show would be like heroin beer for me.

Obnoxious to your neighbors and susceptible to falling down stairs?
In my fantasy ending Mr. Eko comes back with a cruise ship full of b*tches, picks up Kate, and beats everyone on the island to death with her.

Ending will be Charlie coming too after tripping out on heroin on the plane, and he dreamt it all. Then drive shaft comes on in the background and it fades to LOST

What makes the mother/smokey as Adam/Eve a stupid plotline in comparison to say Rose/Bernard, Jack/Kate, etc? At least nobody saw it coming.

So, to confirm, for the people that don't have shifting. The recap is starting and 8 with the final episode starting at 10pm correct?
It's what my digital box says, but it's flakey sometimes and I don't want to miss this. :|

Man, the Final Journey re-cap with the viewer messages is killing me. I can't believe it's soon to be over!

I've never seen so many commercials before. We get like 6-7 minutes of show then 3-4 minutes of commercial. This is just stupid.

Definitely worth watching again in a form where the commercials are removed
