I think Europe has its own release time. From the Diablo 3 forums (first time is time you can install, second is when your server goes online, so when you can actually play):
Install Launch
US West May 14th at 08:01 AM May 15th at 12:01 AM
US Mountain May 14th at 09:01 AM May 15th at 01:01 AM
US Central May 14th at 10:01 AM May 15th at 02:01 AM
US East May 14th at 11:01 AM May 15th at 03:01 AM
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Asia (CST) May 14th at 11:01 PM May 15th at 12:01 AM
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Europe (CEST) May 14th at 05:01 PM May 15th at 12:01 AM
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
New Zealand May 14th at 03:01 AM May 15th at 07:01 PM
Aus East May 14th at 01:01 AM May 15th at 05:01 PM
Aus Central May 14th at 12:31 AM May 15th at 04:31 PM
Aus West May 14th at 11:01 PM May 15th at 03:01 PM
Edit: this wasn't from an admin, just a poster, so it may not be correct.

Crap... PST midnight everywhere, bleh.
I know in WoW it goes by server time. So whenever i've pre ordered a game I get to play it 2 hours earlier because of the server I am on. I was hoping i'd get to start playing a few hours earlier because I pre ordered this one.
Blast! that sucks. I guess i'll take a nap after work and #### up my sleep schedule tonight, lol. My day off is Friday so I wont be able to go all out Mountain Dew and Doritos till then

So battle.net online the best way to buy? I take it it's not on Steam...

Well the guy I pre-ordered from at EB Games at Deerfoot Meadows yesterday said "midnight" with no further clarification as to the timezone... so I am hoping he wasn't mis-informed or else there will be a lot of angry nerds (myself included...) banging on the glass at EB come midnight tonight. Not that the clerks inside would be intimidated by this or anything..
Definitely taking the day off tomorrow as well. Which is kind of funny because I hit my peak gaming nerdiness probably 4 - 5 years ago and never did anything like that, let alone waiting outside a store tonight at midnight haha.
Hoping my laptop runs it though cause I've done a bit of research and am still only about 90% sure I'm good to go... so it could be a long day tomorrow of the Diablo 3 box soaking up my tears rather than me enjoying my new game.

Yes, unless you irrationally want a physical copy for some reason.
Question about the client: Been so long since I have played a game like this that isn't tied to Steam. Are there issues with me installing client on multiple machines since I need an account to play anyway?

Been live for an hour and already lots of people above level 10, apparently.
Was on the forums and they are saying 29-31 hours after release they are expecting the first level 60 characters.

You can install it as many times as you want on as many machines as you want. You can only log in with one B.net account at a time though.

Parental controls seem to be setup on my battle.net account, I had a hack attempt a while back, but got back control (setup an authenticator and stuff too), but I think the parental controls are setup on another email. I've put in a ticket, but they're probably pretty busy. Hopefully it won't stop me from playing!
Or maybe it was my wife or boss being smart.

I'm sure you will be able to buy it at midnight, but by the sounds of it you wont be able to log into the servers until midnight PST.
I did the whole midnight launch thing once, and that was a few years ago. I felt so old and out of place then, I couldn't imagine doing it again. Thank you digital downloads.
I've changed my mind already I'm trying to get out of work tomorrow >< lol.... Kinda hard to explain to the boss its cause I want to play a video game.... Ugh... Nerding out woot woot.

Agreed, nerding out is better in anonymity as you get older. Plus no excuses to the wife why I am going out at midnight on a tuesday. Although my excuse is nothing as remotely interesting as the reasons Don Draper goes out in Mad Men.

Getting less than 100KB/s on the download. Restarted the launcher and now it's stuck at 0% Updating Blizzard Launcher.
I wonder if the torrents out there are legit.

I'm in the same boat photon. I tried to run this stupid client over night but I switched to a Linux dual-boot a few months back so of course windows decided to update and restart after I went to bed
I did make it up to just past 2 GB, but since restarting an hour ago I'm hovering around 10 KB/S, and have only downloaded 70 MB in that time.....
I found this torrent at PB, pretty tempted to start it up. This Blizzard download client is freaking garbage.
PB#7269922 (Wasn't sure on this b/c it's just a torrent of the install client, but best to be safe)
I'll switch to the torrent in an hour if my speed doesn't pick up.

Should probably remove the link; can't have pirate links on the site.

Mine's slow too, though occasionally bounces near to 1mb/s. Apparently once it's installed you get to watch the first cinematic, but only once!

I keep getting disconnected from any peers with a good rate, so I'm ranging from 5 - 100 kbps, spending most time at 5. I have a constant 50 upload rate though...
In the past hour I have downloaded 89.5 MB, so I'm out. I pray that this torrent is legit, but with 100 seeders and the files matching in size and name I think I'll go for it. I'll let you all know if it's good. I should be able to grab it in a few hours or so hopefully.
And of course now that I have typed out this post I'm sitting at 200. So confusing.
