Costco has some interesting new products in stock such as mint chocolate cheesecake in their bakery, frozen french macarons, Cheesecake Factory Godiva cheesecake, and packs of 10 vanilla beans. I actually picked up the vanilla beans even though I have no idea what I am going to do with them yet.
While I really hate the way a lot of people have no clue how to keep from blocking the aisles with their carts, I have a special kind of hatred for the donkeys who stop at the end of the aisle, across from a demo station so that they can talk on their cellphone.
I suspect that if I could actually say sorry with a straight face, I would run into a lot more people with my cart. And the ones I do run into, I would run into a LOT harder.

Just got back from lunch with some friends, went for sushi at a new place, it was excellent. It's so nice going out for lunch on a day off and taking as long as you want.
The wine helps too.

Tell me about it. I had an uncle commit suicide at the end of November, an aunt who was murdered Dec 23, and my father died Dec 9 - all different years.
And, to fit the theme, we found out on the 27th that my mother's sister has 6-9 months to live.
This has never been the best time of year in my family.
