Top Gear is also a hit internationally because it's very quintessentially a British institution of sorts. Nobody will want to watch if there is an American on it. LeBlanc is not even an interesting celebrity or someone who is hugely into cars and you feel the passion like Jerry Seinfeld or Jay leno.
Jay Leno's Garage is the best car show on TV/Youtube right now.

Totally agreed.
As I stated earlier in this thread the BBC has taken the Corporate view that since they own the 'formula' that they actually have something of any value.
All of the presenters, producers and staff of Top Gear left with Jeremy, James and Hammond. With the exception of one.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
I'll give it a few episodes. Speaking of "Episodes" Matt LeBlanc is in a USA/British TV show of the same name. He might have some love across the pond.

He is quite big in the UK, episodes was a major sitcom over there.
I think the new top gear will be crap but the choice of Le blanc isn't as strange as it may seem from here.

Chris Harris is awesome. Love his youtube video's. He's also an A lister when it comes to getting hands on drives of all the best cars, right up there with the old trio. In Fact, that picture with Clarkson, May and Hammond in front of the Big 3 (LaFerrari, 918 and P1), was taken the same day Harris had them on the same track. But Harris got the better time of day slot. Video:
Sabine Schmitz is the Queen of the Nurburgring, can drive like no other. also has a cool personality. She's logged something like 30,000 laps on the ring. Thats nuts!
I get LeBlanc, he is huge in the UK and is a solid car nut. He can drive.
Don't know much about the others. So Ill hold on commentary until I see the show a few times.
They could have done well with just the main host, Harris and Schmitz. Don't know why the need the dry Jordan, or the other guy. Stig is essentially useless now with Harris and Schmitz. They're legit fast.

I love Leno's Garage but Chris Harris on cars is the best. And Motor Trend TV is better too.
Head 2 Head is a great series. Johnny Liebermann is seriously under rated. They do have a bias though towards all things american. I like Randy Pobst a bunch too.

LeBlanc is going to be the star of this. Hes the only presenter I genuinely like.
I'm just not sure he can carry it on his own.
Evans is wooden and difficult, Schmitz has potential but she is a legit race-car driver, not a presenter, I have to give her the benefit of the doubt for a bit.
I dont really know the rest of them but I've seen this script before. Top Gear is going to get back on the air and then Jeremy and the boys are going to blow it out of the water a few months later.

I actually think that BBC TG will actually have some legit fast drivers - way better than Clarkson and Co. That gives them some legitimacy to call a car a dog or not.
But Tanner Foust is fast too, and I still don't like watching TG USA.
At the end of the day, we'll have two shows showing fast cars and entertaining us - and I'll call that a win.

I agree, but ultimately, having Jeremy, Hamster and May with a show that has fewer controls and a bigger budget?
That is something I'm looking forward to.
These guys, strangled by a Government Broadcasting agency put together one of the greatest shows on TV.

I look at this as win-win. We get a refreshed Top Gear (not that it needed it) plus the same three guys we know work well together in a brand new format.
Also - This many have been mentioned, but Shomi has the rights to Amazon's new car show in Canada.

It'll be on shomi!?!? Best news I've heard in weeks
