Earlier he was giggling about possibly giving up the run that would tie Bonds with Hank Aaron. He was like "that would be pretty cool." What an idiot.

i'm watching the game now. I'm new to this HD business. SHould this game be in HD? On Bell, it says I'm watching in HD normal, but it cuts off the sides of the screen. Doesn't that mean it's not HD?

well, fat head Bonds needed to do that after gifting the Jays 3 runs in the first with his (not so) stellar fielding.

that was so brutal. I can't believe that juice pig didn't end up in the AL this season as a DH. He can barely move at this point.

So Verlander pitched a no-hitter for Detroit today against the Brewers.

Man, VW is very frustrating to watch.
You're going to make that kind of cash, you better show up to play every single day.
He looks disinterested to me most of the time.

Frack I'd like to see him at least seem upset with his junk play. Nothing. Squat.

%*^$ . . . and now Burnett looks to have pulled something.
The Jays are cursed with injuries this year.

doesn't matter how good or bad the jays pitching is, for the most part, this team struggles to get 5 hits a game. tough to muster run support from that.

I'm actually a little shocked how poorly this team has looked, especially lately, at the plate. On paper they have a very deep, good hitting ball club.........in reality, way too many guys are struggling.
I would have thought the bullpen would be letting down the batters, not the opposite.

Well there's two factors at play. First, apart from Matt Stairs and Aaron Hill (and Johnny Mac I guess) no hitter is meeting expectations.
But also with Lyle Overbay, Greg Zaun, and Reed Johnson out of the lineup the batting isn't that deep. Lots of holes in there with the likes of Jason Phillips, Roycle Clatyon and Adam Lind who has zero discipline at the plate. Easy outs.
