Currently in the Cayman Islands. Have a bunch of photos, but won't put them up till I get back next week. But today, took a trip to "Hell" and caught this rooster and her chicks trying to cross the road! They got scared, and scurried into the nearby bushes.

That is really cool, thanks for sharing. I wish I had half the skill at photography that some of you guys have.

This is my favorite thread on CP.
I always get a little excited whenever I see it pop up to the first page.

Like JohnnyB this is one of my favorite threads on CP. There are some very good photographers on CP.
Here are a couple more of the same sunset. Not as good as the other two but I still really liked them.

My favourite thread as well. Are those Big Rock photos HDR or what kind of post-processing has been done, if you don't mind my asking....

Yes the two Big Rock ones are HDR. The color one is from 6 different exposures and the bw is from 4. The other two photos I posted have very little post-processing on them.
I don't think I posted this one before. It is also is an HDR.

Here's one I took the day after the Lunar Eclipse, around 7:45 PM or so. The Moon was really low and quite massive.
Exposure time was about 2-3 minutes.

We live on a quarter section in the Priddis area. Outside of 2 small pieces of land that have been broken into hay field and pasture, the balance is native virgin land, meaning it has never been broken. It abounds with mixed deciduos and coniferous trees, multitudes of birds and wildlife
and........... wild flowers
Brown Eyed Susans
Buttercups & Lupins
Clover
Cow Parsnip
Goatsbeard (seed head)
Daisies
Shooting Star

redforever, your 2nd last picture would look really cool B&W with only the orange showing in color. don't know if there's an easy way to do that in Photoshop or something though. Nice pics.

Thx,
Well, I know there is a way to do it, not sure if done through photoshop. We just returned from Mexico, Cabo san Lucas area, and took a side trip up to Todos Santos, sort of little artist community, Hotel California is there too.
We went through one shop and that is exactly what the artist did. Hilited one object in a color and the rest were all black and white or else sepia tones.
Extremely effective, and extremely pricey!!!
