Tony Romo's gonna throw 7 TD passes today at this pace. Catchy name, and all the attributes to become the NFL's next uber start personality?

Boo, that's all we need. The Cowboys are the Leafs of the NFL, and heaven help us if they actually become good again.

I wouldn't go that far...I'd take the Cowboy's winning the superbowl over the Leafs winning anything...
So how bout them Bronco's...I like Plummer, I want him to succeed but I really think he doesn't have what it takes to take this team all the way. Cutler next week?

R.I.P. Jake Plummer -- The Jay Cutler era begins next Sunday...
Good game tonight. The Chiefs are awfully tough to beat when they run the ball well and their defense hasn't played this well in a long time. Another great AFC West game...

Important win for the Chiefs to pull them to 7-4 and put them even with the Broncos. Trent Green still doesn't look very sharp, but Larry Johnson and that running game are really starting to get it in gear. I really hate to write off Denver, but I wonder if these last two games didn't seal their season. I know everyone on the planet worships LT and he's a terrific player, but I don't mind the guy toting the rock for the Chiefs, he's a pretty special player too. His backup has actually looked pretty good the last couple games too.

Jake had a decent game tonight, but he had no time.
If they do indeed start Cutler against Seattle, it will give them more options in the passing game. He's got a great arm and during PRESEASON he was very poised and extremely effective.
We'll see.
It will be exciting and unnerving at the same time.
Chiefs are full marks for the win. They need to start putting the ball in the end zone though.

LJ is a great runner. LT is twice the football player. Just my opinion, but Johnson doesn't do anything else but run. He can't catch and he can't block. Tomlinson gives the Chargers so many options. That's not to say Johnson isn't a great RB, he is, I just think the worship of Tomlinson is warranted.
I'm not writing the Broncos off because the rest of their schedule is soft save that trip to San Diego. 11-5 could be good enough.

I was pretty happy to see Harrington beat Detroit. Sure he never lived up to expectations, but the way the rest of the team turned on him was really classless. They really deserved that beating.

No question Tomlinson is the better all around guy. He's like upgraded Marshal Faulk or Marcus Allen. Tremendous all around player. No way the Chargers feel bad about trading the Michael Vick pick away. Hell they probably are glad the Manning snubbed them too now. Rivers, Tomlinson and Gates are probably the triplets of the next 5 years. Still Larry Johnson has played 4 division games this year and ran for 150 yards in three of them and had an off day of 127 in the other. In a division where you need to be able to run the ball, he gets it done!

No question. And they have a great offensive line, which to LJ's credit...he pointed out post game. He's a different cat. It seems like he puts in a lot of effort trying to make people think he's not a very nice guy. Weird.

Useless Broncos,
The cheifs and Jags are getting hot, this is not good news for Miami.
On a more important note, Miami suffered a huge blow today to there slim playoff hopes
Ronni Brown broke his hand, may need surgery, Sammy Morris is decent but he's no Ricky Williams or Ronnie Brown.

I should add that as in vogue as it is to bash Jake Plummer, he wasn't that bad tonight. Tonight Denver didn't have much of a running game going for a total of 38 yards. When you're a running team, and thats all you can get on the ground it's going to be tough on a QB. K.C. had a pretty good pass rush going all night and Plummers receivers didn't exactly go out of their way to make plays for him. If your receivers don't catch balls, and you have little or no running game it's going to be tough to put up a lot of points against anyone.

As for the game today, I think this is a pretty big benchmark for where this team is at, going into a tough stadium against a wounded animal of a team, this scenario has been brutal over the years for the Saints.

When I first read that I thought you were doing your best Jim Mora impression . Here's hoping for a big win in Atlanta tomorrow. Carolina's pulling their usual 2nd half surge, after their usual slow start(theyre like the Flames of the NFL in that regard), so the Saints cant afford to blow any more games. I read one of your more recent posts, and I agree that the game against Cincinnati was incredibly frustrating. Its great to hear that Colston is alright. I hear he probably wont be playing tomorrow though. Which is not a bad idea in my mind. I'd rather him sit one more week to make sure he's 100%, than rush him out there too early and have him struggling with an injury the rest of the season.
Its also good to see Bush finally trying to find holes between the tackles. I hear Payton's been working with him during practice with tackle dummies, to get him more used to running north and south and keep him from going outside all the time. I think it really shows, he's looked much improved over the past couple games(the Pitt fumble aside).
If Colston is out, Im a little concerned with our receiving core. I've been pleasently surprised with Terrence Copper, but he needs to learn to hold onto the damn ball. Here's hoping Henderson has another big day. And with Colston down, Im wondering if Michael Lewis will get to see any time at WR tomorrow.

49ers gave the game away. Martyball is alive and well in SF. 4ht and less than 1, they have been running the ball almost at will, and they kick the FG. Then they go prevent, and the Rams walk the ball down the field and score.

They pick off Manning, move down and kick a fieldgoal to take the lead! 6 Seconds left.
The Giants just imploded.
