The backlash to the Giminez trade was always weird.
The guy was a former all-star, that played gold glove defense at a premier defensive position and they got him for a very manageable cost.
The Straw thing also didn't cost them anything but money but since it was part of the Sasaki failure everyone made a huge overreaction to it. He always looked like a guy that provided a warm body at a time where Varsho's injury was very much a question mark.
