Yeah Jays have been getting screwed by bad luck. So many hard hit liners right at people. Also funny to see that the Jays would have at least 3 homeruns if they were playing in Yankee stadium. That stupid little league park.

The two trades in the off season with Cleveland were widely panned, both paying dividends early on.

I really did not like that acquisition of Straw at all.

We complain about Bo's defence at short. But CJ Abrams is all over the place with his throws. Yikes.

The backlash to the Giminez trade was always weird.

The guy was a former all-star, that played gold glove defense at a premier defensive position and they got him for a very manageable cost.

The Straw thing also didn't cost them anything but money but since it was part of the Sasaki failure everyone made a huge overreaction to it. He always looked like a guy that provided a warm body at a time where Varsho's injury was very much a question mark.

Didn't the Jays not get their first sweep until like July last year? This is nice.

And they have a positive run differential! I heard from one radio announcer (not a "Sports person") after game one this season where they were convinced the Jays would never get back to a positive run differential over the course of the 2025 season.

Feels good after getting thumped 12-2 on opening day to be 5-2 a week later and two of the biggest bats haven't come alive yet.

Tough stretch ahead though

Yeah they need to come out of the schedule from hell .500

If they do they have a good chance to contend for a wild card

If they can come out a few games over .500 then they are real threats for a playoff spot

Means diddly squat at this point. But it's fun to see the Jays at the top of the division after the first week. Especially when everyone was fawning over the Yankees first 3 games.
