no, despite getting roasted for missing the net (like every player ever has) he has been quite good as a bottom pair guy

I think it was a mixture of bad advice and him truly wanting personal change. I think he wanted a fresh start, but if he had good advice, he would have been able to see that the fresh start was happening in Calgary with basically an entire organization turnover and a good opportunity for him. Not to mention 2 years of guaranteed money.

He got greedy/excited and loyalty got away from him. Unfortunate but it happens.

I dont know, genuinely, but I'm more inclined to agree with Coach on this one as well as 'terrible advice.'
Calgary had turnover, cash, cap room, openings on defence, familiarity, shown loyalty, etc. There almost literally could not have been a better fit.
So unless it had something to do with the Organization (seems unlikely also much turnover) or the City (No evidence, but mental health? Fresh start? Its possible) then the argument does turn to either bad advice and, as Toonage alluded to, Greed. Possibly.
But man...where do these guys hire their agents? In such a short span of time I feel that Johnny's Agent dropped the ball and then kicked it into the river and Kylington seems like he got bad advice.

I think given the situation the Flames were in the past 2 seasons, a lot of players (likely due to agents advice) tried to take advantage of the Flames while they were down (I don't actually mean they were malicious about it, just from a business perspective).
Narrative was players were leaving on mass, no one wanted to be here etc... Many of the players who were willing to stay seemed to feel or were given advice by agents that the Flames should over pay / reward them for their "loyalty" or willingness to be in Calgary. This played out in a few of the scenarios we saw with players the GM and org moved on from, but Kylington was the most polarizing element of that IMO, because his asks / expectations given his situation were just the most out to lunch.
