Interesting to note that teams who loaded up at the deadline like Bos, Tor, NYR are gone/struggling while the teams who didn't like Vegas and Carolina are doing well.
I really wonder if it's best to just make small adjustments and not change the chemistry too much

The Panthers made the playoffs only because the Penguins, Sabres, Caps, Wings, and Sens ALL completely $#@+ themselves down the stretch.
They knock off the record-setting team. And now they are 10 wins away from the unthinkable.
Something about this whole situation just seems a bit eerie.
11-12 Kings vibes for sure.
And the funny part is I've always though Philly and Calgary were NHL twin cities and this would make it even more true.
Philly always tries to contend, never gets high picks, and has to stare as biggest rival Pittsburgh gets handed generational talents.
Calgary always tries to contend, never get high picks, and have to stare as biggest rival Edmonton get handed generational talents.
Flyers fans had to watch a warm climate West coast team win the cup in 11-12 as two fan favourites in Richards and Carter played a huge role in LA winning as an 8 seed.
Flames fans now have to watch a warm climate East coast team go on a run in the playoffs in 22-23 as Tkachuk and Bennett play a huge role for the Panthers as an 8 seed.
The parallels of the two teams always seem to be interlocked.

Toronto’s “It isn’t average, it’s very good!” goaltending should try doing the very good thing soon.
Weird that this is the third very good goalie that looks pedestrian playing against the Panthers. Couldn’t be the skill on the Panthers, they must have all shared a bad milkshake or something.

Another one... in about 2017 Nolan Patrick / Tyler Parsons were both teams' respective top prospects... a #1C and a 1G if things had panned out

They say you aren't in trouble in a series until you lose at home.
Okay, so the Leafs just lost twice at home. Are they doubly ####ed now?
Listen, I know that the first 10 minutes of that game should have had the Leafs up 3-0, but Bob kept it within reach, and the team responded. They aren't going to shy away from the fight. They've been through it now with that Boston series, and I think they believe that they can beat anyone now, even when things aren't going well.
In short? Belief can overcome a lot of inadequacies.

Yes, as long as the Panthers keep playing like this, there's no way in heck they lose 4 of 5. The Leafs are cooked barring some sort of collosal turnaround in the momentum of the series.
Completely cooked if there's anything wrong with Samsonov. Which there might be.
As of this moment the Panthers are the betting favorite to win the cup!
Florida definitely seems to have that lightning in a bottle thing happening, and are starting to feel like a team of destiny this year. Confidence is a hell of a drug, and I’m not sure if any of the remaining teams can beat them right now.
The Leafs HAVE to win game three. Few teams can but for sure the Leafs don’t have the kind of team that can dig deep and win four playoff games in a row.
