Fun fact, Millen is 2-10 in his career vs the Flames.

He's fantastic. Good insight and has no problem with espousing an opinion.

He will praise Flames and call out opposing players (and vice versa).

To some degree I think we’ve all just heard everything Hrudey has to say.

I imagine everyone complaining about this also thinks the answer to speaking to someone who is ESL is to be as loud as possible.

What a dumb thing to get worked up about when the Flames exist as they do. Who tf cares.

He is probably pronouncing it properly. Robb Kerr mentioned that he got a call from the league to inform him he was pronouncing Logan Couture’s name wrong. I’m sure the league would have told him to say it differently if it was not ok with the player or the team.

Fun fact…when he played , his nickname was DORK.

Edit: by far the best analyst the Flames have ever had, IMO.

I would have pegged John Garrett for that nickname. He is the anti-Millen as far as colour commentary goes.

You have a crap imagination. It's an audible ear itch. Nothing cultural about it.

you two clearly didn't go through the thread that blew up over this a few months back. it was basically proven that singh is pronouncing it wrong from posters familiar with kadri's background and that originate from lebanon.

Hrudey seems far too concerned with making sure he stays impartial and really enjoys a good game, and could care less about it's the Flames broadcast is on. He could be on any teams broadcast with his generic positive style.

Millen, in the past year since he's taken the majority of the analyst duties, is more and more comfortable with the Flames day in and day out, great chemistry with Ball, and the comfort means his opinions become stronger and he's invested in following this team and is a better an analyst specifically as it relates to the Flames.

Sadly I missed out, I will forever be remiss. I await the thread about Millens use of hoobadoo.

I like the fact they we as flames fans have two great colour analyst options for the broadcasts in Hrudey and Millen. This was lacking for the last few years, prior to Millen being a staple as the second option. Moving forward, I’d love these two to be the choices.

Ya. I didn’t read those threads as it doesn’t bother me to hear it pronounced differently. I was merely stating that if the league had an issue with it, Singh likely would have been warned about it.

Oh man. Hrudey pronouncing the word "opportunity" is another nails on chalk board thing. Just fumbles the ball, every time he doesnt audibly make a concerted effort.

Or Friedmans arrogance of city abbreviation use. They're all the same. Annoying as all hell.

You get to pick one player put of a list of two.

The two are MacKinnon or McDavid. Who do you choose?

I choose Mak.
