It was after the whistle so there's no scoring chance being nullified. Calling a penalty shot on something that happened way after the play had already been blown dead makes zero sense.

Refs call penalties all the time after the play is dead. What is this nonsense? Not often it's on the goalie for kicking out a leg, but after the whistle calls happen all the time in the NHL?
I know this is Calgarypuck and it's a game thread which are typically more emotional but so many posts are nuts in this game thread. I typically don't follow game threads, is it always this biased and emotional?
