I think we need to see 90% final rosters on both sides before we can start making any assumptions about lines ect.

Thanks. I was thinking ACL, but for some reason remembered it as an ankle sprain.

Injuries compounded with the lost years of development and when he was ready to come back we arrived in the covid world. Talk about some s***** luck.
He's just not the same player anymore. Unfortunate.

I lost the audio because I muted it, can't stand Moon scream and that commentator mono tone whine.

I just couldn't imagine how frustrated and bitter I would feel in the same situation.

I think the torn ACL the following year was the one that really set him back.

He had the high ankle sprain the year before. Really bad luck for Vali.

That article makes it sound like he had a successful return to the Finnish league after rehab -- he was even the leading scorer in the league. The problem is in his head now. I saw an interview with him at one point last season and he was just so depressed sounding. He doesn't believe in himself.

He doesn't. But I think he is also quite clearly permanently damaged. He doesn't skate anywhere near as well as he once did.

He also tore his ACL in his right leg as well. I no longer see an NHL calibre Dman in him anymore. Thank goodness Oliver managed to step up last year.
