You don’t develop nothing if you lose this game
Pulling a goalie is not just about the goalie
Washington did, and it worked for them. They woke up.

Caps didn't expose Vladar, the Flames left him exposed.

EVERY team exposes their goalie several times a game. It is the goalie's job to make the save.

TBF, he hired Mike Keenan as a coach. The king of goalie pullers.

The Gaudreau giveaway was do to a terrible drop pass that caught him of his guard.

Yeah pull Vladar... or you know, maybe just don't leave Ovechkin to come in at speed completely alone. It's a hard decision.

Washington was playing pretty well anyway. And who knows what woke them up.
I’m not pulling a goalie in his first game for the team.

Some team we have.

No, I don't think so. It's pretty typical that getting a 3-0 lead early against an evenly talented team (or more talented in this case) is a recipe for a big time push back. There are two teams out there and the Capitals are far from pushovers and are playing at home.
Obviously you would like to see the Flames control the whole thing, but it's a pretty common way for a game to go. I'm pretty confident that if we watched a different team, we would complain about this same thing too.

You pull the goalie , you are sending the wrong message to the team.
There were top players and others that need to pick it the F up.
Bench them?

Lesson: no more drop passes, and certainly not at your own blue line.

Gaudreau isn't the problem... the problem is that the Flames have four 13th forwards (Ritchie, Lucic, Lewis, and Pitlick) who are all playing regular minutes in this game when at least half of them should probably be scratched.

This is more of a Sportsnet question but does it appear that they are flying Flames host Ryan Leslie to Toronto for road games in studio?
Usually they would be on the road with the team and interviewing players or staying back in Calgary for the home studio analysis.'
Just some changes I guess.

I also can't understand what Tanev was thinking on the second goal. Regardless of how the coverage was blown, he looked right at someone coming in on his goalie, turned to see there was nobody on the back door, then looked back and watched the guy walk right in and score.
Tanev is disapointing so far this year. But maybe that's because he really overachieved last year.

Yeah, Tkachuk hasn’t done much and Johnny has given the puck away a fair number of times trying to pass through people.
