IIRC, Backlund had an iffy first half of the season last season as well. It was later on he really came on.

Either way. This has been a good game. Likely too much negativity for a game against what looks like a really really good team. In fact, I'd call these two teams almost mirror images of themselves. I'm sure MTL fans aren't too happy with some things either.

Man, Markstrom is a dandy. I didn't realize how far he had come since his FLA days.

I would love to know what part of Ward's coaching Trelieving thinks is good. Like, what did he see last year that made him think "you know, this 60 year old rookie head coach is amazeballs".

I wish coaches salaries were all public, because I have a feeling Ward is out coach because he took the lowest salary in the league.

Really? That draft at the time had an extremely clear top 4. It was an absolute no-brainer.

Some guys games just don’t translate from Junior to the pros. Way she goes. He was picked 7 years ago, let’s move on.

He is. I think he has to be the lowest paid head coach. Just under a million I think.

holy I did not realize that Ward is the same age as Barry freaking Trotz. that's a 22 year difference in head coaching experience. better hustle Geoff you've got a bit of catchup to do.

What a hindsight post...he was ranked #1 by central scouting and top four by EVERYBODY

He's having an awful night. He turned a Flames scoring opportunity into a 3 on 1 for the Habs. Been doing is minor league behind the back passes and shots again. He would be so much better if he could get the minor league crap out of his system.
