Maybe the GM can convince Lindholm to leave the bubble.

Maybe instead move someone else up who can skate and be fiesty, hell even if it is Backlund or something, get him up there. Put Lindholm on the "2nd" line as the center. I don't know at this point but if they don't make any adjustments, this team will struggle to reach 20 shots this game, let alone enough goals to win against a Dallas team who is flying right now.

How about swapping Mangi and Lindy?

This is maybe Ward's single weakness in the playoffs is how he's not gotten his top line going.

I think the lines should look more like:

Gaudreau-Backlund-Monahan
Lucic-Lindholm-Dube
Mangiapane-Bennett-Ryan
Rinaldo-Quine-Reider

I think he should split up Gaudreau and Monahan, just for the message it would send

Talbot totally lost the net there...the puck would have never got to Benn if he wasn't sliding over so far. Not Dube's best shift though

Ok. Tie game, 2 periods to go. Wake the f up and take this game boys! May be time for Ward to start breaking up that 1st line.

I'm not sure why you break up Lucic-Bennett-Dube in this scenario. Just put Lindholm with Ryan and Mang and keep the one good line together.

He was an elite player no question. Flames fans from 80s knew that well. He just got lost a little in the insane BOA storyline.

Lost a great one today

One thing I did really like about Bill Peters is that he wasn't afraid of creating some really odd line combinations to try and get players going.

I know it's not his style, but this is an intermission Ward should go into the room and kick a trash can or something. Channel some Darryl Sutter.

Flames can absolutely score goals - what they need to do better is get aggressive on the forecheck and attack the blue line instead of collapsing down when defending.

The first 6 games had a relentless forecheck that wore down the opposition, I'd like to see them get back to that.

I think if you were to mix up the lines you do this:

Mangiapane - Backlund - Lindholm: Lets get Lindholm with some other defensively responsible guys and see if he relaxes a little.

Gaudreau - Bennett - Lucic: Gaudreau doesn't have space...nobody better to open up space physically than Bennett and Lucic for him.

Dube - Monahan - Reider: Monahan isn't the greatest skater, lets flank him with a couple guys that can fly.

If we want to shake up the lines this is where I'm going.
