He's becoming something akin to Vancouver's 2015 Ferland and that's really valuable for a team with more skill than toughness.

I didn’t see an OOT for today but Ferly just got his 10th. On pace for 40+ goals, dude’s gonna get paid this summer and good for him. Still this is phenomenal work by Treliving. Lindholm is also on pace for 40+ goals, 80+ points but is cost controlled at less than 5 million for 6 more years. Incredible.

If Bennett’s game continues to grow, I think we should try

Gaudreau Monahan Lindholm
Tkachuk Bennett Neal
Frolik Backlund Ryan

Second line would be hell to play against. Third line would be pure shutdown.

I’m not surprised by the tension, but I find the perspective hilarious. The Oilers fans are acting like our goon (our Kassian, but we don’t have one) tried to take out McDavid. And then this answer the bell stuff. Answer the bell for what? Nothing but some minor face washing and scrumming occurred with McD, and he initiated it. This is nothing like when Tkachuk hit Doughty, to which he did answer the bell, because there was no illegal hit or anything that could have remotely injured McD occurring.

I have no issue if Kassian and the Oilers want to run around like morons to extract revenge for some nothing more than annoying shenanigans by Tkachuk that’s there prerogative, and I have no issue with Tkachuk not answering the bell cause there’s no incident to answer for. Literally nothing.

The only super star players that actually got a true rough ride last night was Tkachuk himself when he got slew footed by Dri and Johnny when he got boarded from behind. The Oilers fan base has got themselves worked up like the Flames gooned McD, but nothing of any substance actually happened which is the beauty of Tkachuk.

Also lots of talk on how ineffective Tkachuk was after the incident. They seem to be missing that he was a member of the line that completely rendered the McD line useless in the 3rd.

I think it's hilarious that the mere presence of Lucic on the top line is as effective a measure as any to shutting them down. Think about it... 21M dollars tied up in McSourGrapes and Dry, and they can't elevate Lucic's game? Instead they're suddenly ineffective?

Generational my arse. He's got no extra gear, and little heart.

For BOA games, I am on the Alberta Outdoorsman Forum where we have a fairly vicious hate relationship going on...the pure angry outraged butt hurt and whining there is epic. I have had a great time mocking and slagging Soiler fanboys today. But is it ever ugly about our boy Chucky...so delicious the tears of the fanboys today!! They sure are angry!

McDavid essentially started the whole fracas when he put Backlund in a headlock and tried to wrestle him to the ice like a steer after Backs nailed him along the boards with a good hard hit.

I don't know if there's been a better BOA game since the 90's. That was a classic Saturday night rivalry game. Proud of the Flames for focusing and getting the upper hand, they dominated the third. If Bennett can get a bit more offense going he's going to play a vital role for this team. Maybe he already is. Character win and I love that there's so much bitterness coming from Oilers fans today.

Oh they’re a riot. I was having fun with them last night.

Did you know that 5 Cups negates ineptitude forever. It virtually guarantees that they will never be the worst run franchise in pro sports until everyone else has 6 cups.

A game the Flames won because their goalie kept them in it?

I give the credit to Super Dave, Sammy, Mikey and Harmonic (sp).

Fragile? Like mentally? Last year yes, but they have been anything but this year.

Nah, the Flames this year are the most fragile team I've ever seen.

Whenever they trail after two periods, they shatter into a million pieces and the other team gets killed by the shrapnel.

Should have just given him also a triple 10 minutes misconduct as well then vs a single 10.
Despite what DeBrusk was saying, the initial penalty on the play was to Kassian for knokcing Tkachuk's helmet off. Then a double minor for the dropping the gloves/punching after that.
