This is not a shot at Hamonic, because I think he is a good player and just not we need, but has anyone even noticed he’s not out there tonight? I sure haven’t. We could have had an impact winger which is exactly what we need for what he paid for Hamonic. Stone would have been fine at #4 and we could have filled with 5 and 6 spots from one of many options on the farm.
The Smith acquisition sure is helping take the spotlight off what was not a great trade deadline/offseason. Hamonic and Lazar were very poor use of our assets. Without Smith, Treliving would be having to answer a lot more scrutiny on that.

Bennett/janko combining well. I get the feeling that once the monkey is off the back they'll light it up.
Gaudreau looks like he's on.

They definitely do. The experiment will end if they can't produce.

Honestly, she's fine. A typical of the GDT and GT lately is abundant negativity.
It's almost rookie hazing at this point.

I like when McDavid vacated the slot even though the wings still had control of the puck. What a leader!

I notice harmonic is missing basically every time the 3rd pair is out.

I really like Cassie as well, if it's not Hrudey, i'd rather it's her than anybody else.

Interesting. You didn't feel that way when I said Bennett was leading all skaters this game in CF%, FF%, SCF% and HDCF%.

Love your optimism. Personally they probably wont get a point until the second half of the season.

What the hell is with Sportsnet? I’m not getting any commentator sound in the intermissions.

Agreed, without excellent goaltending, we are down with the Coyotes. This team has not impressed and i still have a hard time with the notion that we have one of the leagues best d cores.... lots of skill but really not that impressive on a consistent basis

Flames schedule:
Caps, Pens, Devils
They are winning one period away from the sweep
What's with all the negativity? Fourth line sucks and Bennett can't score, oh well. Those a pretty easy problems to fix

Because I couldn't believe you'd post advanced stats after one period. Very silly thing to do but I guess if it fit your narrative....

Which is great too. They'll be producing in crunch time. IDC what happens before the all star break in terms of the 3rd line producing as long as they're producing heading into a potential cup run.
Firsst half is shaping up to be all about the big line and Tkachuk doing their thing and Smith keeping them team in it with dare I say vezina caliber goaltending.
2nd half the team HAS to be firing on all cylinders, Lack too because Smith is going to need a few nights off.

So it's okay to judge guys in a short sample time qualitatively, but not quantitatively?

Are you with Shaw or Telus?
I have Telus and have never experienced this issue.
