Good grief. Parsons isn't the one who needs to relax, he earned his celebration. You on the other hand need to calm down before you post, you are representing CP and Calgary here, and you're making us look bad

Doesn't matter, it's ceasing to play the actual sport and moving toward an individual skill to decide the actual game.

It's stupid. Don't argue otherwise.

The Flames are likely the furthest thing from Parsons' mind right now.

Well deserved gold medal for Parsons.

- CHL Memorial Cup All-Star Team 15/16
- CHL Memorial Cup Champion 15/16
- CHL Memorial Cup Most Outstanding Goaltender 15/16
- OHL Champion 15/16
- OHL Lowest Team GAA (Dave Pinkney Trophy) 15/16
- U20 WJC Gold Medal 16/17

Parsons proving to be a big game player

Oh and that is 22 straight wins for Parsons if you combine OHL playoffs, Memorial cup games and the 2016/17 WJC. (hat tip to Craig Button for that stat)

Your cynicism knows no bounds.

That was a first class move by a really good guy...no more and no less.

The Flames should just draft American goalies every year.

I don't care about neck tattoos or Donald Trump, the kid can stop pucks and that's all that matters to me. Great tournament from Parsons.

Parsons getting some serious love tonight, am I the only one on here who was cheering for the Americans? It's not the Olympics guys, it's an U-20 tournament where the teams aren't really the best U-20 players. Fox and Parsons were outstanding and I was very happy to see Parsons win another trophy. He's CLUTCH. Memorial Cup, World Juniors, Sta...

I really hate seeing the US win a hockey tournament. If Canada doesn't win it, then give me another old-school powerhouse like Russia. Sweden.. Finland... heck, any other European nation is fine.

With that being said, Parsons was lights-out when he needed to be. Canada threw everything at him, and he was simply amazing. He is a gamer, that's for sure. Fox was both good and bad. One thing for sure about his game, is how smart he is offensively.

Dube for Canada was (I thought) one of the most consistent forwards. Even without a single goal, the guy generated a lot of offence and was just so consistently reliable in all zones and situations. I bet he gets selected next year, and does really well in that tournament.

Ohh calm down , don't be so sour. He will be on our side moving forward. It's amazing to see Flames prospects show up on the big stage. Cheered for Johnny when he massacred Canada and did the same tonight with Parsons, Fox, and Dube. You want a clutch goalie on your team and Parsons was able to zone out all the noise in a very hostile environment and deliver in the clutch. We are the only country in the world who actually cares about an U-20 tournament haha. Flames over everything unless it's a World Cup or Olympics.

Honestly have no problem ending it in a shootout. Rather have that than another twenty minutes if exhausted sloppy play. I think the NHL should consider it for playoffs.
