No worries at all. If we're around one of us can do it, not a big deal.

I'm not surprised that the Kings lost. but I'm surprised that the Sharks won. The Sharks are just so...stale. Props to them.

People can't resist "calling it".
"This Kings team won't be denied!"...20 minutes later, they lose the series.

I know there are always scapegoats when teams lose unexpectedly in the play offs, but man did some of the Kings major guys go missing in this series. Toffoli, 0 goals, 1 point. Doughty, 1 point, -5. Quick with an .886 sv%. Some brutal no shows from 3 of their main men.

Don't understand the hate for LA. Unlike the Sharks they have actually won something and Doughty is still a stud as far as I'm concerned. When your on the ice for 30 mins a game mistakes will happen.

They continually find lawyerish ways to circumvent the cap. They also have Dustin Brown for their captain, which speaks volumes in itself. Add on top of that Milan Lucic who, as good as he can be, is a loose cannon with a short fuse. Never mind the fact that Vinny Lecavalier is on the team. The former captain of the Bolts in 04. The same player that has, for all intents and purposes, promised to retire at the end of the year, thusly propagating the whole cap circumvention issues.
That is why people hate the Kings. The more the Kings lose, the happier I am as a person.

Best series of the first round, sad it only went 5 games.
Pretty crazy how after 2 Stanley Cups and 3 straight conference final trips from 2012-14, the Kings have only won 1 playoff game the past 2 seasons combined.

The Kings' mojo/magic has probably just worn off. Both of their cups saw some unlikely runs from a lower seed and coming back from 0-3 in a series, etc.
The Sharks are overrated though. I feel like the next team they face will dispose of them quickly. That's how the Sharks do in the playoffs, and they're several years older now too.

I'm not so sure. They seem like a tougher and more confident group this year.

I agree. I mean, how many had them getting past the Kings in 5 games? Not many I'll bet. Got to give them huge credit for last night. Not only did they have the skill to go 3-0 up in the Staples Centre(which doesn't happen often), they managed to regroup in the 2nd intermission after being pegged back to 3-3 and won the final period 3-0. With all the 'choke' stuff that has gone before, that showed great character and determination. The Duck or Preds will have a tough time knocking them out I think.

If I was Dustin Brown I wouldn't even jay walk. Too risky with that org.

You have to believe they are going to leave no stone unturned in how they can rid themselves of his deal.

Not just his deal, but a few others are starting to look a bit suspect. They've locked themselves in long term to Gaborik, who's had another injury prone year. That one isn't looking too clever right now.
Things are only going to get worse for them as well, because not only are they probably not going to be able to re-sign Lucic, Toffoli becomes extension eligible come July 1st and he'll likely command a big raise if he has a 30-40 goal season next year.
Very interesting 12 months for the Kings.

I'd love to see the Canucks offer Lucic some kind of ridiculous contract (7 years, 49 million) on July 1st.

I'd even go 49 mph in a 50 mph speed zone!
Just kidding, I'm not Hitler.
