Dogs breakfast defense by Stockton 3-2. A 2 on 1 that had a hickup and the two guys chasing them crashed into the third guy and the goalie, allowing Smith to put it in.

The Heat's defense by in large have played as good as Wideman in the NHL. Kylington is the only one that I haven't noticed making boneheaded mistakes. Kulak has, Spoon has, Morrison has.
Out of the 6 goals I've watched get past Poulin, only one was possible to stop by a good NHL goalie.
I think that if this continues much longer, the Flames may need to look at a coaching change because it's not working.

Good to see the Heat starting to find the back of the net. As has been mentioned Huska must be on a very short leash now. But in reality, it's not like he has much say over the system. The Hartley system has trickled down to the AHL level and I wonder if it's to blame for the defensive shortcomings. Can't say I've watched enough to know if this is the case.
The time of excuses is over for this team. They aren't overly young anymore so the Flames depth needs to start showing exactly how deep the prospect pool goes.
Hopefully Stockton can get into a groove and be a well rounded team by the time Gillies gets back or Hiller arrives.
