I've been entering myself and my folks in the Sport Chek draws.
My dad and I both were chosen for Game #4.
I was told by a friend that once you are chosen for a game, you are ineligible for the rest of the playoffs. Is this true? Also, does it make a difference whether or not tickets are actually purchased? Eg- If I bought tickets tomorrow, but my did did not buy any, would my dad still be eligible for future Sport Chek draws during the playoffs?

Just checked out StubHub again for kicks, good lord. Lol at the guy trying to sell his Press Level tickets for $446.85 apiece. I wish there was a way on there to communicate with the seller so I could call him a frickin greedy loser.

There is a huge difference between selling and listing. You can list it for anything you want, but that doesn't mean it will sell. Most of the outrageous prices are put there knowing they won't sell at that price. I don't mean to state the obvious, but if everyone listed their tickets at $50, they will all sell at that price. New listing check what previous listings are at and what amounts have sold and then price accordingly. Others put a price and say if it sells at that high amount, then they won't go, but if they don't sell they will go to the game themselves. It's like listing your house for double what a comparable house is going for. You don't think it will sell, but if it does you're happy to move.
There's a reason (along with many others) many people sell anonymously on StubHub instead of eBay, and it's so people like you don't email them. If there are 200 tickets cheaper than his tickets, then he knows he isn't selling at that price. He doesn't need your emails to tell him that. If you don't like the price, don't pay it.

Pairs still available on Ticketmaster for Game 4. Standing Room Pairs, Restaurant Pairs, Lower Bowl, and first few rows of 2nd bowl. So nothing too cheap.

I actually hadn't thought of it from the perspective on planning on going, but putting a wild price on them just in case you get a bite, that makes a little more sense. But in this particular case of $450 for bleeders, I have to disagree.
I'd refer to these $225+'ish for PL prices as "understandably crazy". It's almost double face value, but interest is obviously strong, and the market seems to have found a median of around $225-300 for that area. But to set your ticket price at double - and in some cases even triple - at what even the really marked up tickets are going for; sorry, that's just embarrassing. To me it just makes them come off as greedy, with no common sense attached.
To relate it more to the sellers' perspective, the buyer's version of that would be when you're selling your ride on autotrader.ca for say $20,000. Then someone calls you up and sets their initial offer at like $3,500. And when you then respond incredulously, them replying "Hey, don't get mad. If you don't like the price, don't take it". Yeah, fine, but it doesn't mean it's not obnoxious and frustrating.

Some Round 3 and 4 STH pricing,
R3 = 2 x regular season STH pricing
SCF = 2 x round 1 pricing
Hopefully we will see what the face values will be.

Looks like the "select your own seats" option is turned off on ticketmaster. Tough to see what's available, but I think that's what they want.

I don't think that's remotely the same. There's no communication back and forth. In order to get to the tickets you're describing you have to go through literally hundreds of tickets that are in the same section and are priced lower. If you wanted a car would you go find the highest price car and give them an offer lower than any other car out there? No. You'd likely start at the bottom and try and buy that. If someone else buys it you go to the next one.
In this case it looks like you were just trying to find the highest priced PL tickets to complain about them. You were purposely looking for them, so it's hard for to say they are being annoying.

The way the transaction occurs is different, I'm simply referring to the basic premise of setting your price wildly above (or below, from my example) what the market is dictating, which bugs me.
I think what this is more stemming from is the strong verbiage I used in my initial post, which looking back on now, was "in the moment" and a somewhat emotional statement. When you use language like "greedy loser", it's naturally going to get an emotional response in return.
Now that I've processed it more, I would've worded my post a little more tactfully, especially on a board where there's probably lots of sellers, maybe some of which are shooting "for the moon" with their initial prices. I'll just leave it as I disagree with that mentality.
To be fair, I've never been much of a capitalist, so that kinda stuff always irks me a little.

Here is the FV pricing for all the rounds for the white section where my seats are. I think my regular season face value was $106 for the regular games. No idea about the premium games.
Round 1 - $237.00
Round 2 - $276.50
Round 3 - $316.00
Round 4 - $474.00

Does anyone have the same pricing breakdown for Greens? I think I threw away my initial pricing letter for rounds 1 and 2 and haven't received it yet from the Flames for 3/4...

It's due to high traffic coming from fans looking for tickets.

I believe Green are $164 for round 3, and $246 for the Stanley Cup Final. But I could be wrong.

I don't believe so. At least it is not true for other seats. Maybe it is true for Sport Check zone, but you'll still be eligible for tickets in other areas. If you have your name with the Flames insider and you win tickets for a game you'll still be eligible for future games.

I think the face values pretty much fall in line with that same math (2x R1 for the SCF), given the "discount over face value" line on our statement I got in the mail today and some quick calcs.
So the most expensive seat, face value, which was $545 round 1, will be $1090 in the SCF.

And for reference, just dug up out ticket stubs from 2004:
In the 300 level (non Sportchek):
Face value R1: $28 (this year $94.50)
Face value R2: $32.50 (this year $120 I think)
Face value R3: $38 (this year, probably close to $140)
Face value R4: $46.50 (this year, likely to be $190)
Keep in mind our regular season pricing was probably about $16 that year, and increased 20% for the playoffs and each round (so the SCF cost us something like $32 for a ticket)...but basically 4x the face value this playoffs, that's nuts.

I highly doubt it, the select your own seats feature has been off ever since game 3 started. I'm 99% the Flames know that there were thousands of people browsing and were watching and knowing there was no rush to get tickets if they wanted them.
This game they'd rather go back to their "OMG limited tickets have just been released!! Everyone race to buy them!" strategy.
"Limited tickets have just become available, see if you can snag some" is a better marketing strategy than everyone looking at a seat map that shows 450 available tickets not moving for an entire day, like game 3.

If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all.
