We can talk about this in the Stempniak thread if you like. I've discussed my position there.
The jist of my position is that I don't think the Flames have the luxury of having anybody on the the team that plays that "fighting" role.
On top of that, I believe that a player who plays Stempniaks role has to be tougher.
On this team, Stempniak has to take care of himself, which he either can't or has chosen not to do.
..its what separates him from the above average RW in the NHL.
I like him, but not in the role he's on playing on the Flames.
