The digestion problems after a pneumonia sounds new to me, but I don't really follow pt's after the infection has resolved, so that interests me. Do you happen to know to the mechanism of why this happens? Also, the mucus membranes have hypertrophied during a pneumonia so the membrane doesn't really need rebuilding, they need to go back to regular size. And the lungs are mainly comprised of epithelial cells and smooth muscle, so there's no real concern about collagen. Are you sure you're talking about connective tissues of the lung specifically?

Antibiotics kill all bacteria, good and bad alike. Healthy cultures in the colon are lost and if not replenished could be colonized by unhealthy cultures and digestion problems can ensue, mostly diarrhea.
Interstitial tissue requires collagen to maintain form and provide a physical barrier to spread of infection, and if the infection is invasive enough you can lose this defensive barrier. It's one of the things that often gets overlooked. This isn't to mention the constant coughing she is likely experiencing which creates a lot of damage to the upper respiratory tract that still requires plenty of vitamin C.
Just curious, what's your background? You can PM me so we don't destroy this thread.

If you score though, you get to play first line / top pairing minutes next game.

Cammy had way too much time to think... and makes no play. He is much better when he just reacts.
