Gary Coleman's ghost paid a visit to the Oiler's locker room?

Oilers said they won't be trading him, and that any rumour of them doing so is 100% untrue.

That's not show of support, that's like telling a convict that they won't be getting paroled forever.

lol, I love the story on TSN's main page:
Quote:
Nail Yakupov and the Edmonton Oilers look to stay hot as the team travels to Tampa Bay to take on Steven Stamkos and the Lightning this evening. While Yakupov has struggled with just one goal in 14 games this season, the Oilers have been getting scoring from some unknown players to snap their recent skid.
|
One win in overtime over a bad team=Hot, when it involves the Oilers. Even though they've been terrible all season long.
Pretty sad how desperate TSN wants to praise Edmonton.

Especially considering they blew a 2 goal lead in that game, and let Florida tie it up in the final minute.

Neither team looked good in that game. About the only positive there was that they won. But they looked terrible doing it.
I would almost expect that Tampa is going to cave their skull in good. Just like I have a feeling that the Flames are going to take a solid beat down tonight

Yeah, totally bizarre.
The coach, who has absolutely no control whatsoever on whether the player gets traded, publicly states that the player isn't going to be traded...
What could happen?

5 Oilers among the 10 worst +/- in the league now ... Yak leading by example.

What is even more telling in this is that the Oilers are the only team with more than one player in the bottom ten, and the only team to have more than four in the bottom 25. Florida and Philadelphia are the only other teams with four; the Jets and the Rangers each have two; surprisingly, the Buffalo Sabres have only one player among the bottom feeders.

Never mind the Oilers, what the heck is Giroux doing on that sad sack list of players? Has his game ever fallen off the map.

The guy has yet to score this season. He pretty much played himself off of team Canada.

He hasn't scored yet this season, which doesn't help.

They had the exact same headline for the Flames last week after winning one game.

Snyder and Giroux supposedly had a pretty heated discussion in the hall after the last loss and Giroux left pissed without talking to the media. Giroux as bait in a deal? Would you do Baertshi for Giroux?

How can you not?
That deal is a no brainer for me, Giroux is in a funk, but at his best he is likely better than Baertschi will be. No way Philly does it straight up, we'd have to add a few pieces or picks, but it's probably be a workable deal.
