So we're wearing a red and black version of the Minnesota jersey, but with a crappy word mark..... awesome! Way to be creative Mr. King!

These jerseys are embarassingly bad.

Could also be how the jersey was placed and photographed as well... gah, I'll wait and see lol
As others have said its the same cut at the Wilds new jersey and looks good with the square shoulders IMO.

edit: does looks like the shoulder piece is slightly higher than the wild. or our nhl collar logo is slightly lower.

There are only so many cuts of jersey Rebook makes.... maybe we should of had Rebook make the Flames their own special edition cut of jersey.

So were the retros and the Heritage Classic jerseys a standard RBK template? How about our current home and away?

I seriously doubt this is true and it just shows laziness on the Flames part honestly.

I think they will. Was playing the game the other day and even the Minnesota Wild road jersey shoulders look a little funny in game. However in life they look really sharp and crisp.
I hope that's the case. The black shoulders is the only issue I have with the jersey since it doesn't look like it blends well; but maybe in real life it looks much better.

By the snapshots you can see that the shoulder yoke is designed differently than the EA snapshot. Where it goes from red to black is up higher, and blends differently, with a different lace style and color. The EA looked more crammed and unnatural. Looks like the actual jersey will look better in that regard. Also the straight line of mountains that is nothing like the circular shoulder patches shown. Don't know exactly what it is and where it will be used, so that could be interesting.

It's safe to assume the front crest is what we feared, but the rest looks like it could look better than what we've been shown. I don't think we should assume the worst yet.

Retros were likely a standard template, as are our current jerseys.

Heritage Classic were not but they were also the old cut of material and were not the Reebok edge material.

Not sure how using a jersey that has the same shoulder yoke template is laziness on the Flames part.

If it was the shoulder yoke only, it wouldn't be laziness. However, the arm and waist stripes are almost identical to Minnesota's. I wouldn't surprised if the numbers are the same font as well.

I thought everyone wanted plain horizontal stripes with no verticals and no piping? They’re the same as half the league.

Not my cup of tea. I wouldn't buy one but they aren't horrible either. Just kind of meh.

I haven't done the investigation but I am not sure there is a jersey in the league right now that has a unique jersey template. It has been this way since Reebok took over.

Has nothing to do with the Flames being lazy, has to do with Reebok only making so many templates available to the teams.

It's not great, but I don't see what the big deal is. It's a third jersey. Take a deep breath. Relax.

You're confused.
People want simple striping, no verticals, no piping, just like Minnesota, Detroit, Carolina, Dallas, Chicago, Boston, New York, Toronto, Vancouver, and San Jose.

Oh, but it better be original because anything else if a rip-off! And not original like Buffalo or the Islanders either.

Not a lot to ask really....

But seriously, it looks like it's going to be a pretty decent jersey, nothing outstanding, but might look pretty good in-game. EA has horrid renditions of jerseys, and people are basing their negativity on that, so I'd be a little patient.

Either way, haters gonna hate, can't please everybody, and the same people are going to say the same things for years and years until they feel they've been sufficiently heard.

I mean hey, it's not like people mention the decade-old horse head jersey constantly.... oh... wait.

When they first came out, they had difficulting meshing up different materials at certain seams and that's why you had piping and stripes that ended halfway around the bottom or the arms.

They have improved this all now and there have been many jerseys since they are reflective of older styles with complete patterns and striping.

Like you said, it's not bad, but it's just a bit dissapointing after seeing all the cool prototypes from the 3rd jersey thread on CP and elsewhere on the internet.

I really liked that Ottawa picked a desgin done by one of its fans a few years back. But who knows, maybe these will look pretty cool in real life.

I'm still not a fan of the wordmark and the flaming C to the side.

Just got an email from the Flames that they are holding an inaugural Flames Fest on the 27th to unveil the new 3rd jersey to a small group of season ticket holders. You have to buy tickets and have to use a specific password linked to your season ticket holder account.
