Dortmund look alright going forward but just like in the Bundesliga are an absolute shambles on the back end.

I think they will be switched around for the second leg, with RM/BVB on the main network with PSG/CHL on World.

That's what happens when you're missing 2/4 starters on the back line. BVB is really missing Lewandowski when they go forward.

Does anyone on here follow Real Madrid on a fairly regular basis? The bits and pieces of them that I've seen from the UCL seem to show they are the most complete team left in the competition. Is that a reflection of how they look in La Liga?

Hard to see them keeping Real off the scoresheet while scoring 3 themselves and 5-1 seems unlikely. They need an away goal.

Yep, I can see them scoring 3, especially with Lewandowski back. Heck, they could/should have 2 or 3 in this leg. But even with Weidenfeller playing out of his mind (current best keeper in the world IMO) I can't see them keeping Madrid scoreless

And that could be it for Chelsea.

That is a brutal goal to give up so late.

I guess 2-0 is a possibility but 2-1 at Paris was likely the ideal scenario for them at the start of the day.

English teams will always be on the main network, they get better ratings

Weak in the centreback. Pepe is dreadful and shouldn't be starting on a squad like this. Ramos is serviceable but I'm convinced this squad can't be beat if they solidify their back 4.

The Sun covered the story under the headline “You Schwein” while the back page of the Daily Mirror read: “You Dirty Schwein.”

Bayern have now announced that, as a result of the puns, journalists from the two tabloids will not be permitted to attend the return match at the Allianz Arena next Wednesday.

A statement on the club’s official website read: “The ‘coverage’ about our player Bastian Schweinsteiger in the English media outlets ‘Daily Mirror’ and ‘The Sun’ was without respect, discriminatory and personally insulting. FC Bayern do not accept this kind of coverage and condemn it utterly.

I think most people would agree that the English media should be banned from more places. Just for the greater good.

I do think the English often unfairly get a bad name but the English media is quite terrible in general.

Manchester United have been dealt a major blow with a toe injury to striker Wayne Rooney.

After a season full of disappointments, Tuesday's 1-1 draw against the reigning European champions was an uplifting experience for Moyes and his players, but Rooney suffered an injury to his toe that will keep him out of Saturday's trip to Newcastle United and possibly the return leg in Munich.
