No, because a shot on goal always results in either a goal or a save. If it hits the post, it results in neither, and therefore cannot be classified as a shot on goal.

I know what you guys are saying, and I do agree to a certain extent.

That said, as a shooter, you don't want to think that the goalie stopped you. It's better to think that you missed your shot. At least that's how I always was. If that makes sense....
