Another update:

@TennisReporters:
Source says Jesse Levine is going to be named to Canada's Davis Cup team on Friday.

Not sure whom he is going to replace though.

Update: Davis Cup @DavisCup
BREAKING NEWS: Jesse Levine to make Canadian debut replacing Frank Dancevic. Simone Bolelli also OUT for Italy replaced by Daniele Bracciali

Raonic & Pospsil have been nominated to play singles vs Italy. Nestor/Pospisil will play doubles on Saturday.

It's Bolelli that's out, not Seppi who you posted earlier

I'm blaming it on Tennis Canada.

Some early QF results

Defending Champs and Berdych-less and Stepanek-less Czechs are 2-0 up against Kazakhstan. Kazakhs really blowing it on home soil

France is one up in Buenos Aires (Del Potro not playing)

USA vs Serbia is in BOISE, IDAHO!. I'm surprised Djokovic could even find it.

And of course Canada at 2pm.

Looks like Milos won pretty easily...too bad Pospisil choked a 2 set lead. Doubles tomorrow could decide it...

huge win for Querrey over Troicki which totally turns around that tie.
Bryans win tomorrow and Serbia's in deep trouble.

It comes down to Troicki and his match with Isner. Bryans are going to win the doubles, Nole is going to walk over Sam Q.

Troicki has always been a good DC player, though. I still wish Janko was here.

I know everyone has been following davis cup for good reason, but was nice to see bouchard make it to the 1/4 in an event with some big names in it. Bouchard defeated stosur but then lost in the 1/4 to jankovic. Stosur retired in the second set but Bouchard won the first set 6-1, very impressive. I'd love to see a similar career progression from Bouchard as we have seen from raonic!

Anyway, on to the very important doubles match, hopefully nestor has at least 1 more good davis cup performance left in him.

This run by Bouchard puts her into the top 100 (95th) for the first time and will qualify her for the French Open.

The Bryans have lost the first 2 sets, both tiebreaks.

TBQH, I'm shocked. I'm watching it right now, Bozoljac is playing the best match of his career, and I haven't seen Zimonjic play this well since he was paired with Nestor.

Great performance so far, too bad Vasek couldn't quite pull it out but that was a great performance by him anyway against a guy 100 ranks higher.

Little disappointed in the attendance so far, seems a bit worse than Spain. I think if Canada is fortunate enough to go through the next round Montreal or Toronto should host. Should be seeing a packed house at this stage and Rogers Cup always gets very good attendance in those two cities.

Yeah don't understand why so many empty seats. Last year it was packed.

People probably bought tickets thinking it was Nadal.
Nobody knows any of the Italians.

Especially if Canada plays the US, I'd play in Montreal. THAT would be a hostile crowd.
