Kings are staying in Sacramento. Stern keeps seattle fans' hopes alive by talking about expansion after next tv deal.

My the NBA playoffs are horribly staged. The Heat haven't played in months I think, and Indiana has like a week off between games. Meanwhile the other series plays their second game tonight, but then doesn't play again until Saturday. It has to be the most boring, played out playoff format in all of sports. Is it at all beneficial killing off any momentum by having days, if not weeks between games/series?

Anyone catch Tony Allen's all time great flop last night? Even soccer players were impressed.

They keep reffing this series like this Indiana may have a chance.

Anyone that thinks the NBA is rigged (me included) watch this game where they have handed it to Infiana on a platter.

No NBA fans?

The way the refs are keeping Indiana in this game is a joke.

Nope. Actually Miami kept taking the lead when I turned in, so I turned the channel when the Heat went up 3 at the end of the game. Can't believe the Pacers tied it up. Superstition law says I have to keep the game off, but hopefully the Pacers pull it out!

Also the NBA is a terrible TV sport. They really need to do something about the constant timeouts badly. The last few minutes are often unwatchable, when it should be the most the most exciting portion of the game. Tonight was bad for that, the 4th quarter started at 830, now they've played 16 minutes (including overtime), and 70 minutes have passed; pathetic.

And no foul on Lebron when West smacked him there?

The Nba is atrocious when it comes to scheduling and their BS TV dates.

At best any TV audience they gain has to be list by fans tired if waiting 3 weeks for the next game to be played.

I don't have a dog in this race ... but that didn't seem like a foul committed by Wade.

Pacers coach trying to get cute and match up.

Little does he know that Hibbert is the best answer to the Heat. No Hibbert = 2 wide open layups.

At least make them make a shot or something! Geez.

West fouled LeBron on the last possession. It doesn't matter though as the Heat won anyway. The Heat's interior weakness has been exposed. West and Hibbert scored a bunch in game 1.

Paul George, from hero, to even bigger hero, to WTF goat. Even once LeBron got the ball George should have tackled him and made him nail two free throws in that situation, and I'm guessing LeBron goes 1-2 in that situation and we have double OT at least.

Also moon I'd be careful about complaining about the refs. Everyone in the free world knows David Stern is not allowing a Pacers-Spurs Finals as his last Finals ever. Please, the Spurs-Grizz ratings are apparently atrocious, he's not having the lowest rated Finals ever as his last.

I am sure the refs got a big talking to about how to call the series from here on out but they shouldn't need that to know that wasn't close to a foul on Wade there. But if the gamblers had the over or Indiana perhaps that call makes more sense.

Lots of BS calls both ways, almost always going to the team that's down. Definitely wasn't one-sided reffing, just all-round suspect. And the result is a game that gets bandied in the media as an instant classic, which will only increase ratings from here on in. Hard not to be cynical about it.

As good as LeBron had been in the playoff this year, the Heat wouldn't have won game 1 without the Birdman. This guy was 7-7 FG and got 6 point blank dunks and was 2-2 FT for a whopping 16 points for a player you don't run plays for.
