No doubt.
Ever since they rolled that site into Snet, the bloody audio on demand section is extremely lacking.
The main page isn't even cycling through "top stories" which is usually the place to snag the top audio clips from the day.

That's just how bad they were, he makes that big of an improvement.

Th flames could have 3 poll entries:
1) Most improved because Hudler
2) Most improved because Wideman
3) Most improved because of Cervenka
Cervenka did a lot more in a lot harder league than Schultz...... He has a good chance to be the best UFA signing of them all.

He is also 4 years older then Schultz.
I enjoy all the Oiler hate but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

I would put zero stock into anyone that contributes to the TSN webpage as a fan. Don't need to look any further then the comments section under each story

Just went to the site for the first time in months... Their website is uglier and less convenient.

I like the signing. If he finds some chemestry with linemates in Calgary he has the skill to be a consistent 30 goal scorer it seems.

Glad to see they got the guy I wanted them to go after. I think he'll be a great addition to the team.

People, media alike don't like to admit the KHL is the second best league on the planet for talent,In his 2 years Cervenka lead his team in scoring by a large margin over players like Jagr,Perezhogin and Frolov yet people still aren't sure of his talent.
His talent should not be denied, it's about getting customized to the smaller ice and getting use to a different culture which is a big reason why Feaster signed one of his countryman.
I personally don't think even flames fans realize the difference a few new players with skill can make to a team. the signings, coaching change along with an exciting rookie make this team at least more fun to watch..that's all I want.

Agreed.
Adding Cervenka, Hudler, Wideman, Baertschi plus a full season of Cammalleri/Brodie makes this team MUCH more skilled than they were at the beginning of last season. That cannot be argued IMO.
The new coaching staff is the icing on the cake. Sutter didn't know how to coach skilled players, Hartley has plenty of experience.

Jiri Hudler as a 26 year old in the KHL - 1.00 points per game
Roman Cervenka as a 25/26 year old in the KHL - 0.95 points per game
I'd say once Cervenka gets accustomed, it's not unlikely that he could be a 50+ point NHL player like Hudler.

I haven't read all 25 pages of posts but... I see the Calgary Flames website has Jiri listed as a center. Interesting.

Looks like a great signing for the Flames, good price and he could well flourish in a bigger role than he had in Detroit. I really like his game, I think he'll be a good fit.

You know....I don't know why I go to TSN and read the comments. It seems that everyone hates Calgary. They state that we overpaid and that Hudler is worth much less. I'm taking a wait and see approach, however I am very happy we put faith in the ilk of Hudler.

not from what I can tell, unless top line KHL centermen take less faceoffs in 2 years than an NHL 4th liner does in 1 year.
