Are you suggesting that non-NFL fans would see it on the schedule and tune in?
Yes, the same way they do when games are on ESPN at hours that people aren't at work. If you don't have Fox Soccer the only way to watch that game was to make the effort to find a bar showing it, and a lot of casual fans aren't doing that. They will however watch it in their homes.

MUFC and CFC both could have had 2 or 3 more goals each if not for shocking finishing. What a bizarre but entertaining match...Definitely one you just take the points from and move on.
Rooney with arguably the worst penalty ever, Berbatov screwing up a sitter, Torres' gaffe, De Gaea's miracle stop on (forget who). Funny stuff, because we won.

Torres' miss has to be the worst one in front of the Stretty End since King Kenny (even though it wouldn't have counted)

strong words by Hargreaves, if it was so bad there why did he offer to play for free?

I don't find it hard to believe that the course of treatment chosen initially proved to be the wrong one, there's a lot of unknowns with soft tissue injuries, but the whole 'guinea pig' thing seems rather bizarre. Like you said, if it was so horrible why did you want to stay? Some pretty odd words to say the least.

No other reason I'm posting this than to show off my favorite goal of all-time. Hoddle's chip vs. Watford 1983.

Did Torres just get sent off for scoring a goal?

Hoilett scored his first of the year in Blackburn's 3-1 loss to Newcastle.

Not definitive or convincing, but I'll take it.

Yeah, heard about that last night. It is hard to be surprised by this.

I'm convinced Kathy Bates is on our medical team.

Ha! Medical teams seem to be taking it on the chin this week.

Well deserved draw by Stoke today. Britannia is becoming one of the harder places to play it seems. Chelsea, Liverpool, MUFC all dropping points there so far.

I just watched the replay, the Torres goal was excellent, but he earned his sending off.

He flew into that tackle with both feet and his studs up. There wasnt much contact, but thats a good thing, if Torres had caught him clean he'd have broken his leg.

The announcers agreed, clear red card, and they called it a 'chicken tackle' effectively saying that those kinds of tackles are done by a coward who doesnt believe he could win the ball with a clean tackle. Thats paraphrasing obviously, and I probably wouldnt go that far, but it was certainly worth the red, very dangerous.

That said, other than that Torres looks to be quickly regaining his old form.

I guess he figured since he had played a few games for them, and they knew how good he was healthy, that they'd take him up on it. Seems that wasn't good enough for them. I realise that as a sports team, it might be frustrating as all hell to have someone with that level of injury problem, but it sounds to me as if they tried some sort of unusual, and risky, quick fix just to get him on the field, rather than letting him have it treated and rehabiliated properly.

that's what I am saying though, Fergie didn't want him back this year because of the 25 man squad rule, makes complete sense he has a big squad and it has depth

but if Hargreaves thought the United medical staff, or organization, treated him wrongly why would he want to go back for free. Wouldn't he want out at all costs?

this screams to me of him trying to take a shot at United now that he is at a rival

the Hargreaves for England stuff that came up this week was almost as silly as the Owen for England call by all his pals at the telegraph

Sandro debuted his hair midweek but it got it's full debut today, magnificent stuff

it was originally red as a tribute to Internacional his team in Brazil, but someone explained that wouldn't go over well at Spurs so he made it blue
